Stout House F 4 Springbok Club 1
Dave 5600 Bill 1680 Grant 1890 Gary 4950 Scott 3450 Mike 1130 Lee 1940 Chaz 1830 Colin 1980 Trevor 1590
Game 1: Bill started well but a 1 & 3k from Dave sealed it. Game 2: Gaz took some time to get going but a solid 3k midway took the game. Nothing going for Grant. Game 3: Slow and steady from 'Scott of the Carfax' Game 4: Buttock clenchingly close all the way. Last ball finish. Game 5: Final game neither player wanted to win. Trevor lost more than he scored and Colin suffering from back tremors. Last ball finish.
The F's somewhat fortunate to come away with 4 and the Books probably kicking themselves on the way home. That said, a fun evening all round as usual rounded off with a fine spread of F class sandwiches to suit all tastes.
Man of match: There could be only one winner tonight. Chaz clumped the red ball behind the left hand 20 so hard Dave was getting ready to catch it. It came off the cushion, swung round the 20 hole and flew back up the table heading for the baulk line. Somehow it was on a perfect trajectory and disappeared into the 200. Totally unrepeatable.😱
