Just a reminder that any rule changes must be received by 30th July
It would also be a help if teams could confirm if they are entering the home away inter league before the AGM

It's looking very unlikely that Mid Sussex A will still be around due to players not being around.
There will be a team from Mid Sussex and will confirm when I have the info.

It is looking very likely that the Home & Away Inter-League Divisions may have to be altered.
Although it will be up to the new Committee to sort the format there will be a discussion on this at the AGM
We would like at least one person from each league to be present at the AGM so we can hear the views of all leagues to take into consideration.
I would also ask that anyone attending can read the 2018 AGM minutes beforehand as I will not be printing loads off. These are available to read either on here or on the SCBBA Website
Hoping to see lots of you on 13th August @ Burgess Hill

Reminder it is the Sussex AGM tomorrow night and will re-iterate Jean's previous post about attendance, especially as you will see from her second post that we have 14 teams entered for the Home and Away Inter-League down from 16 (both teams who have withdrawn come from Division 3) so changes to the format will be necessary

I would like to thank everybody who attended the SCBBA AGM last night.
There are two changes to the committee with Lorraine Hall stepping down as Ladies Captain and being replaced by Michelle Baden; and Kevin Tunstall winning a vote 9-7 to replace Nigel Senior as A Team Captain.
I would like to thank Nigel and Lorraine for their work as captains and for the time they spent on the committee, and welcome Kevin and Michelle onto the committee for the next year.
A good discussion took place on the format for the Inter League Home and Away for the coming season, and in an indicative vote the most popular option was having six teams in Division One and four teams in each of Division Two and Three. Under this option Division Two and Three would play home and away against the sides in their division and then play the teams in the other division once.
The committee had initial discussions on this last night and will follow up soon with a final decision on the format and structure of the league; which will be communicated when agreed.
With no rule proposals submitted the rules will remain the same as those published in 2018 following last year’s AGM.
The minutes of the meeting will be published on the Sussex website when available.

Good breakdown of what was certainly an interesting AGM and good to get some animation from those attending.
Think the format for inter league will be good for all involved.

Inter League Home and Away start date Sunday 29th September, know Matt is working on the new league formats and will have the fixtures out ASAP.
Remember with drop outs the committee and Matt are trying to do whats best for all and it is not always easy to please everyone but by having 6 in division one and four in divisions 2 and 3 all are going to get 10 games under the agreed format and healthy discussion was had at the AGM and all input has been taken into account.
As I say will always be somebody upset when things have to change due to circumstances, all have a good competitive inter league season and lets see if all games can be played on the correct weekends, an if not at least arrangements are made between the captains at the time of postponed made and Matt informed accordingly, never pleasant for the committee to have to award games without them being played, inter league is always going to involve travelling and we know that when we commit to play.
