It is with a heavy heart and great regret that I have to inform all that Matt Mason passed away yesterday
Matt had been a member of the Worthing League for more years than I care to remember, always a tough opponent who has suffered ill health for a while now.
From a personal view I and Matt have known each other for many years via bar billiards, the pub and the bookmakers, will be sadly missed RIP Matt.

Not the greatest of news on our return to the UK. I remember Matt well when I moved down to Sussex, always a character. He has certainly been missed in recent years in the League because of ill health. Condolences to his family. RIP Matt

I'd known Matt for many, many years and always enjoyed his company. In terms of the lower divisions, as Joe/Phil note, he was largely unbeatable. Matt, you'll be really missed and rest in peace my friend.

Just read this in the Herald obituary column.
He was always good fun and a tough opponent.
R.I.P. Matt
