The White Horse in Sudbury, Suffolk, will be holding an open singles tournament on bank holiday Sunday, the 25th August. £5 per player entry with all entry fees being paid out as prize money, plus trophies for winner etc.
We envisage a 12 noon start with the format to be decided once we have a good idea of numbers, we hope to play some kind of group thingy to make sure everyone is guaranteed a few games. If necessary we will put in more tables.
Obviously we have local interest but we would like to invite players from further afield. Remember this will be a four pin tournament played on narrow tables. If anyone is interested please let me know

Good luck to all those taking part in the white horse 4 pin tournament today.
Its so nice to see it isn't only local players supporting this event.

Thoroughly enjoyabl3e day of four pin in Sudbury, thanks guys. Have no idea who won what, but does it matter? Eventually got home at just after midnight having left here at 0715hrs Well romour has it that you were the runner up in the plate I think Jeff and Jeremy were in the final of the main but not a clue who won. From what I remember the day went really well and a very big thanks to Gary and Ashley for hosting it and making everyone so welcome and also thanks to everyone who took part and made the day a great success. I would thank sav, but I honestly feel he is to blame for my headache today, he turned up early to lend a hand with setting up the tables, but at 11 o'clock he was amazed I was still drinking soda water and then forced me to drink beer, consuming it at a rate not in keeping with the fact we still had over 10 hours drinking infront of us. I do hope there is some cctv footage of you getting your bike up and over the bridge at the train station. The biggest thank you has to go to James though, without his almost sober head the admin would of fallen apart and he may well be the only person who knows who won. Hope to see most of you and lots more at the 4x4 next month.

Didn't tackle the footbridge, guard told me I could get out of the station on that side via a path and hook around over the road bridge.
In fact has to do it twice as I left my cue on the Sudbury shuttle, fortunately got back in time.
Was surprised to find I was playing in the plate as I only lost one group match.
Yes biggest surprise of the day was DaveUK drinking soda water!

Jeremy Fry beat Jeff Bridges in the final. I scored it. A very good, high scoring game befitting two finalists. Thin margins in so many games. I scored 10 games in the end and i didn't do the most!
Ally and i were the cannon fodder for this one! I need to change my style of play. I'm trying to flush balls off the back and it just isn't working.
a great day out. well done to everyone involved in putting it on.....
