Old Oak (1500) v Jolly Brickmakers (3000)
Disaster night for us again in the Burwood against the Bricks - who only had 4 players and we had something like our best team out. Game 1. Superb game from Bob Nicholls who went away with 3k off the break. Trotter fought back well but lost by 5k to 8k. Game 2. Really close game between Martin and Wobbly, neck and neck throughout. Wobbly played some well-judged shots at the end to just deny Martin. Game 3. Ditto between Snash and Taz. Several goes each at the last 100 before Taz potted it to win by 10 and the match 3-0. In the dead rubbers, Iain was making the early running v Charlie and tommo (surplus to requirements) decided to have an early night and made a quick getaway. Our table too good tonight. A Bye next week in the Presidents. Who's our next match against ? The Jolly Brickmakers.

Salfords A 1 Spcca 4
Sheila 4850 Tracy 2380 Yvonne 4000 Laurie 5610 Terri 3340 Junkie 3470 Vince 0 John 10320 Phil 3740 Dave 5030
Up first Sheila and Tracy and with both ladies struggling, Sheila with her handicap start kept her nose in front. Tracy made some headway but not enough to catch Sheila
Yvonne and Laurie once Loz had caught up the handicap a nice friendly leg.
Terri and Junkie. Junkie levelled the scores but Terri was unlucky to lose a break at the end gave John one last chance and he punched the frame.
Game 4 Vince of early and 2 good goes was all John needed.
Last up Phil and DC Dave getting enough and then a friendly,,social leg to round off the night.
A fun evening with the A's celebrating Junkies 60th birthday.
