Stuart will firm up times and tables and post when done. There is a place for one more lady in group two and a place in the Mens Singles as Bob Hall will be unavailable. If once formatting is done and time allows there will be a plate.

Two more drop outs so room for 3 more to enter, I will let those affected know if they will not need to be as early. Will do this on Saturday after giving people a chance to take the vacant spots.

You mentioned this last Sunday....changed my mind, may Paul Jobbins have one of the remaining singles places. Will there be a raffle?

Well done to Kevin on a great win, pretty close to perfect in the final somehow winning the first leg after being 10k down! Commiserations to Stuart but you should be proud of your high-quality performance today, some very high breaks and scores. I probably had the best chance to beat Kevin as we ended up on probably the trickiest table in the semis, but with us both missing early I gave him a bit of a target but it really should have been more. Well done to the other losing semi-finalist, Martin Smith who had a very good tournament too. Well done to Jean on winning the ladies, it was touch and go whether she would get through to the final but with Sandra playing very well v Jan in their last match that put Jean through at the expense of Jan and she took full advantage in the final as Michelle couldn't get going. Re-iterating Stuart's thanks of everyone especially the many people who helped take down the tables at the end, sharing the workload at the end makes it so much easier! Excellent weekend of bar billiards, great to see some different names performing well even if the names on the trophies at the end have a familiar ring to them

Great weekend made possible by a lot of hard work and the help at the end yesterday which made a lot of difference.
Very high standard all weekend and a special mention to Stuart Carruthers who ran the admin desk and made the final and certainly did not disgrace himself in his first final. Good to see so many have a good tournament.
The Ladies set a very high standard as well with the game between Jan and Jean on table 6 being a cracker, Jan getting a 10k break in the first leg, Jean breaking down at 9.3k in the second leg and Jan making sure by getting the break straight back.
All tables held good breaks and scores, scorers in the main volunteering quickly to keep the day running smoothly.Once again we can be proud of the standard of bar billiards within Sussex, and lets not forget those that enter making the competition viable even though they know they are going to be lose in the early rounds.
