One pair have dropped out, so room to accommodate another pair, will try to chase up tomorrow, and if I do not manage to replace will inform the relevant opponents if they do not need to attend until later.

I would like to thank the club for hosting the competitions this week end, the bar staff and the ladies who do the catering.
Big thanks to Dave Alder for delivering the tables and collecting them tomorrow.
Thanks to Alan Brackenridge, Jean Brackenridge, Matt Knight and James Whittle for helping to between them get the tables into the club and erect them Friday evening after the bingo, then for their help all weekend.
To Stuart Mepham and Martin Cole for setting up the tables, Rick Cunningham on a sterling effort cleaning the balls.
A very large thanks to Stuart Carruthers for doing the admin all weekend and ensured the smooth running of the event.
Lastly and certainly not least all those who entered the competitions and made a great competitive day.

Thank you Matt but it is a team effort and we do it because we care about the game and with losing another Open off the calender and others struggling, we know the game as a whole is just surviving it is that effort and dedication from a few that will hopefully see us survive and maybe even flourish again.
We in Sussex are still lucky compared to some but leagues are still seeing a drop in teams entered, and some of those who are entered struggling to field a side so a long haul ahead, we need young blood not only to play but to take a role in the administration.
Also when you see the standard of play yesterday you know why we do it, great yesterday to see someone new to the competition do well and play exceptionally, so a special mention to Declan Dynes who some of you will not have known, been an excellent player for many years within Littlehampton and West Sussex and showed yesterday how good with his play in a major competition. I will always say it is the players that make the day and make the efforts put in worth while.
