SPCC B 5 MVC B 0
Martin Beat Gary Denise Beat Karl Pete Beat Terry Mick Beat Geoff Genette Beat Tony
What a night for SPCC B, when you meet the defending champions you hope to take 2 or 3 points on your home table at best, but to take all 5 and leap to the top of the table, it does not get better, whatever happens for the rest of the season that must be one of our greatest achievement's.

Monson Rd Club 1, Old Oak 4 *Luke 2590, Paul 4380
Zoe 1010, *Charlie 1380
*Josh 1590, Clive 4110
*Trevor 3810, Martin 3540
*John 1080, Dave 5380
First leg was a strange one: Luke all guns blazing opened with 2170 but hardly added anything for the rest of the game; Paul by contrast could not seem to pot a ball for the first 15 minutes and then sprang to life, playing out to a finish with 3980. Fourth leg was nip and tuck throughout and was down to the last ball, Martin needing 200 to win by 30. He pulled up short and a grateful Trevor sank the 100 to prevent the whitewash.
Pleasant company and surroundings, and some nice grub at the end.

MVC A 3 SPCC A 2
Colin 3500 Laurie 1710 Grahame 2380 Dave 2930 Benny 5330 Tracy 720 Jeff 1600 John 1780 Colin 3860 Vern 2480 Colin 4 player
First up a scrappy opening game Laurie struggling and Colin not doing much better. Colin with bits and pieces kept his nose in front till the end.
Next up Grahame and DC. Grahame off with a few and Dave struggling to sort the table out .Eventually Dave next to get the balls back put a break together and took the frame.
Benny and Tracy on next. Benny played very well, and a couple of useful breaks comfortably took the leg
Jeff and John on 4th leg. Jeff on and off and John battling to pot something and get the balls back it turned into a complete slog. John making a few at the death to shade it.
Vern and Colin on last. Vern off with a few took an early lead but Colin next to get the balls back made a telling break to win the leg and match.
A nice evening with the Mvc lads just a pity that the table was such a lottery to play. Best news of the night was the amazing achievement of our b team beating mvc b 5-0 unbelievable!!!
