Anyone got a number for an organiser? Nottingham are having a slight issue. Text/call [redacted] - Matt aka pintsize
Edit - removed my number as the issue is resolved before it's scraped off the web by spam callers

Just a quick post to thank Stephen C for his great work in organising and running the Inter Area one day event at Berinsfield yesterday. A few hiccups including an early power cut but all dealt with promptly.
A fantastic day of billiards (if very long) and gossiping, spoilt only by the weather and my dodgy knees. It was good to see everyone again and thanks to Berinsfield SC, a very friendly venue!

I would also like to say well done to Stephen Coleman for his hard work organising yesterday’s event, working to sort all issues that were thrown at him even at the last minute with a power cut and due to unfortunate circumstances a drop out, but well done it proved to be a success the day went well even if I was a tad hungry with no food 😢

Sorry its been a while to write up but been busy at work and been working away, but alas here it is!
Just want to firstly thank everyone for attending and who helped with the organisation on the day. It wasn't the smoothest of starts however we got there eventually.
There was two competitions running on the day with the new format of Inter Area 5 a side, which also allowed B teams for this year, then the Ladies Inter Area Singles. There was a lot of legs to be played throughout the day but we managed to eventually get through them all.
Now onto the men's 5 a side, and with the unfortunate withdrawal of Nottingham there would be two groups, one of 6 & one of 5. In the first group was Wallingford, Oxford, Northampton B, High Wycombe B, Witney and Reading A. It was a really tight group going down to the final legs and any one of 3/4 teams could still top the group. Despite losing 3-2 to Northampton B in the final series, it was Wallingford who won the group by just 1 point.
In the second group there was only 5 teams which were High Wycombe A, Eynsham, Northampton A, Portsmouth & Reading B. A poor start from High Wycombe A meant Northampton A could take an early lead, however it was Eynsham leading until the final series. High Wycombe A then managed a strong final win against Northampton to top the group, despite Eynsham having more wins, 1 leg being the final difference.
So the final was Wallingford v High Wycombe and with all inter-area finals, trying to predict a winner is near on impossible, one minute you have 5 players at the table, next thing they are all off! This game was no different, with at one point Wallingford having 4 players on the table, it was however, High Wycombe who won comfortably 4-1 to not only secure the competition on the day, but as a league they are also holders of the NBBA Trophy & C Team Shield!
Tony may know differently but not sure if any league has held all 3 trophies at once! Well done to you all.
Highest break in the mens went to Andy Burns who Dave A tells me got a high break of over 12000 but it wasn't written on the scorecard so not sure exactly. If someone can confirm that, it would be great. Thanks.
I will upload the League tables and Averages below.
