Woolpack A 2-4 Loci A Another fun filled night in that well known haven for spiders The Woolpack & our 3rd one so far this season, great company, great food & great beer so i'm told, not a bad result either considering we were 2-1 down.

My fellow Pink's, things will be better when the Pink comes back - I think the lack of pink was a tactic as they were scared ;D ;D ;D

I take it there was quite a bit of MUFF at the Railway last night? There was definatly some creaking at The Woolpack.

Cannot comment on presence, or type of muff - but can confirm the lack of pinkness! ;) Whether it contributed to the lack of scoriness that followed is moot.
My wife and I declined to play in the singles again - with seven available on the night, our work here was done; we felt that our role as proppers-up lent itself to the doubles again. Depite Mr Morris senior having slight misgivings about this, the chaps went on and won the singles four-straight. Morris Junior (Daniel) and Jed leading the way with the seniors folloing on. And there was much rejoicing.
A minor slip up in the first doubles game, on what was overall a rather low scoring affair (Obi hit the one and only 1k+ break of the evening to that point in his and HRP's doubles game) left Mr & Mrs Honchair to claim the final point with one of our famous "Let's win it as the bar drops darling" cameos! 8-) Wifey, to her credit is superlatively competitive so one felt obliged to do this or face the consequences over the late night cocoa ;) :D
As we expected, the pinkies were top company - they were our team mates last season, so we knew what to expect.
For the rest of you; there is a new pink pig doing the rounds this season - the collections for cancer charities continues. You are all cordially invited to atone for any errors by feeding the pig with coin of the realm! 8-) We did, The Pinkies do so weekly - we raised a lot of money last season, it would be nice to do so again.

Being a neutral in this matter i feel that the Woolie Pinks were slightly misled by a previous post by Mr honchair stateing that there was a football match on the box during your bar billiards match & adviseing against wearing pink, was this a tactic? or should the Woolie Pinks be calling for a replay???

Having consulted with a medical expert, one is advised that only the terminally deluded would seriously expect the colour of their attire to determine the number of balls to fall down holes.
Pinkness notwithstanding, it was, I believe the Pinkies relationship with the green as it were, that was the determining factor. ;)
So, no. my previous posting was erroneous in that I got the KO time wrong for the England game!! ::) It was not misleading. Not as such - more yer public service announcement.

Indeed........Non colour pink tamen via vos lascivio obviam viridis I just knew this bumpy road would return!!! Wise words, chappie! Wise words indeed. Not, perhaps in entirely the order vis a vis being directly translatable is concerned but words of wiseness. 8-) Just promise me that there will be no further attempt at getting the playing surface turned pink! As you have stated already; it's not the colour but the rub that is all important ;)

A player of your stature should be able to negotiate any colour of surface, variety being the spice of life!!!
