CKRBL 4 Firemans Arms 1
BB Warrior 2870 - 3520 Trevor Rees Trevor off early on the first split. I got the balls straight back, got up to 3.5k and took out a peg on a split shot. Trevor kept getting solid little breaks of 600-800 while I added a black peg to the earlier white. I eventually got the balls back and played the table out..... but it was too little, too late! 0-1 :( >:( :-[ :-X
Derek Taylor 3350 - 1540 Dave Collins I missed most of this match, but understand that Derek played solid game to gain a fairly comfortable win. 1-1 :)
Jenny Edwards 2660 - 1470 Geoff Fairs Geoff off early and Jenny put in a nice 1k+ break which Geoff was never able to catch up.... 2-1 :)
Ted Stringer 4130 - 1930 Phil Waters Ted played a mixture of goods shots while Phil struggled to get the break, although he got it back several times, and the luck also ran for Ted. 3-1 ;D
Peter Edwards W/o - Chris Watson Sadly, Chris didn't turn up.......!! 4-1 ??? :o >:( ;)
Enjoyable evening with some good company. ;D

Well. Black Horse 4-1 Laughing Fish. In my elder years I have learnt not to blame a table, all I will say is it was bloody hard work, and the Black Horse knew how to play it, we didn't.
Only high score of the night was Jan with about 5.5k against my 270 which I managed to BP at the end anyway!!! Only thing I will say is the table might need a little tweak here and there for 1st Division Interleague play...
Nonetheless well done to the Black Horse who were a league and a half above us on that top tonight!

Bridge 4 Stand Up Inn 1
Lee Chipman 5370 Paul Raynor-Brown 3190 Marcus Chipman 6240 Tony Ratcliffe 3210 Alan Brackenridge 4030 Spencer Copping B/P Jean Brackenridge 7240 Bill Francis 1270 Kevin Stoner 3670 Terry Gasson 5320
A good evening with the Stand Up as they were all trying to play themselves into the cup final side. Alan clinched the player of the year title with a game best described as not his best this year. Both players seemed determined to lose as each time they edged in front they were soon off. With just one ball remaining Spencer at the table 190 behind,Spencer went high , Alan then missed the 100.Spencer now knowing the shot aimed lower caught the top of 200 hole rimmed and felled the black peg leaving Alan a lucky winner on the night but deserved player of the year on performances all year.
