Result from match at the Gardeners, Three Horseshoes 3 Schooner 2, plan A worked for the Schooner going 2-0 up, but even reverting to plan B could not stop a good fight back from the Shoes to prevail.
Game One. Bill ( steady one ) Kerr break against Kevin ( the reaper) Hall. Bill opened with 4k, and no matter what he tried Kevin couldn`t get break back. Bill built on his lead to run out winner 1180 - 7900.
Game Two. Stuart ( choccie ) Mepham break against Tony ( keep battling) Jenner. Stuart off at just over 1k, TJ off at 5k, then Tj steadily built on lead to put Schooner 2 up. 1610 - 8710.
Game Three. Steve ( greasy pole ) Aylmore break against Ian ( been there, done it ) Lelliott. Steve unwisely off at around 400, Ian built 3k lead, Ian first back on break and made sure with excellent near on 6k break. Fight back underway, 9310 - 420.
Game Four. Mal ( how did I get away with this one ) Spier break against Rick ( where does that cushion kick ) Cunningham. Mal off at around 1.5k, Rick builds breaks but has trouble with left hand cushion and cannot keep opener. From there Mal trouble with the table, Rick with keeping his scores, fight back continued and onto decider. 2930 - 2240.
Game Five. Terry ( sod that D ) Molloy even breaks with Kevin ( what no telly for the footie) Tunstall. Terry off with 0 having missed the break after eventually getting the balls to spot on a D that was not user friendly. KT on break so Terry takes a seat, but to all the Schooner teams suprise KT ives Terry chance at just over 1k. Terry does get into it, but just as it starts to go well, ball moves on spot and Terry off, having at least kept score. KT on third time back on break makes sure. 6510 - 3090.
Good evenings entertainment, convenial company and a game that certainly could have gone either way.

Result from match played on Wednesday evening at the Duke of Wellington.
Stadium 4 Marine View 1
On the grapevine from Gina, Mark Senior put the Marine 1 up, but wins for Edge, Alan and Mick put the Stadium through, the fourth win coming via a walkover as the Marine only had four available players.

Three Horseshoes B 4 Marine View A 1
Played at the Dolphin under a strange table missing three spots.
Game 1. Saw Adam Squires take on Dave Catchpole. Adam getting a break at the end to clinch the game 2040-1710.
Game 2. Went to the Marine View with Bepo narrowly beating Debbie after Debbie needing the 200 hole to win played too soft and Bepo putting the ball down the 100. 2140-2360.
Game 3, Barry struggling with a back injury and neck ache struggled on and beat Matt Mason 4810-2090.
Game 4. Myself against Steve Oliver. With my break came off after just over 2k. Steve couldn't get going. I got the break back and missed a ball by the left hand 30 hole losing just over 2k but eventually got going again winning score 3170-750.
Game 5. Chris Lucas against John Hayes. Chris finally winning 4550-2630.
Good evening, a few jokes and not too many people watching the football.

I would put the usual match report up but I couldn't get my hands on enough paper to compile one. 5-0 to the Swan A. Food was ok, company was great and good luck guys.
Oh, and hard luck to our A side.
