Played a the Dolphin yeterday on a somewhat difficult set of tables ( not impressed with the standard supplied by Tarrets).
Masters Winner KT :) R up Mark James :(
Lower Div Masters Winner Hayley Tunstall :) :o R up Dave Nicholls :(
Masters Plate Winner Nigel Senior :) R up Ian Lelliot ;)
Lower Plate Winner Dave Collins :) R up John Hayes ???
A very good day went smoothly and congratulations to all the finalists. Good to see some new faces doing well and now Sir and Lady H have matching trophiesd to display alongside each other, although I think with Hayley joining the winners there is going to either be a scrap for space or another shelf required.

Its true, I was 'assigned' only two foot of shelf whilst Kev took the rest.
Anyone would think he's been playing for 40+years eh................. :o ::)

Now I have a bit of time after a hectic weekend to post the results in detail. I`m not sure what`s going on with the Tarratt table but these were not their best by a long way :-X 1st rd KT bt Jean Bill Keer bt Nick Brown Terry Molloy bt Nigel :o BB Reaper bt Neil Higgins Geoof Jukes bt Tupps Chris Reeves bt TJ Mark James bt Ian Lelliott Mal Spier bt Tony Lewis
Q/Finals KT bt Bill Terry bt BB Reaper Geoff bt Chris Mark bt Mal
Semis Kt bt Terry Mark bt Geoff
So the final was between myself & Mark on a tricky table 1..My first two visits to the table weren`t worth noting, except maybe for the black peg off the break ??? Mark settled a bit better and built a 2k lead. My third attempt at a break saw me catch up with Mark and then a last visit put me about 2,300 up. In the second game, Mark opened with 3,800 and stayed in front for most of the game. An unlucky peg from a shot up the top by Mark gave me the break back at a crucial time and I went into a lead of about 700, cursing the table as I missed yet another shot. Only a minute and a half remained, but Mark couldn`t clear the balls, so a second Masters title came my way ;D
High break of the day was by Geoff Jukes with 9k+, showing just how tricky the tops were.
`B` Masters Andy Cleveland bt No 1 seed Dave Roberts Dave Jones bt David Collins Lady H :-* bt Mick Moore Adam Squires bt Bob Bourner Mark Senior bt Bepo Terry Stapleton bt Hem Brewster Dave Nicholls bt John Hayes James Whittle bt No 2 seed Matt Mason
Q/Finals Dave Jones bt Andy Lady H :-* bt teammate Adam Squires Mark Senior bt Terry (No3 seed) Dave Nicholls bt James
Semis - at this point, the top seed left in was Lady H (No 4).
Lady H :-* bt teammate Dave Jones Dave Nicholls sank the last ball in the 200 hole to knock out defending champ Mark Senior
In her current form (3/3 in the Ladies County recently), Hayley is one of the best players around at this level. Her top of the table play on tricky tables will beat most people and there was no way Sleepy was going to beat her in the final. Over the two legs, Hayley won 7,200 - 2,600 Well done hunny :-* :-*
High break was by Mark Senior with just over 3k.
The plate results were posted earlier by TJ.

Don't beleive it Tony there's plenty of room at Tunstall Towers & I'm sure Sir KT will do the gentlemanly thing & give Lady H some SPACE.

The way Lady H is playing I think they will need an extension to house the trophies.
