Hi Nigel,
A bit of their history for you then from the intervening 30 years.
There were always three active bar billiards-playing pubs from that area - the Windmill, the Partridge and the Green Man. All lost their tables/teams except the Windmill which still supports two teams in Horsham, and the Three Bees in the Billingshurst League.
The original members of the Windmill A team as I recall it included John Davie, Graham Budd and Nigel Tomsett. I think Rod Tarratt turned out for them for a while. Mike Davies and Joan still run the 'B's.

Unfortunately there are not a great deal of people from the Horsham and Billingshurst Leagues who use the Forum, and those that do tend to divide their time with Mid Sussex anyway.
It would be great to get some of them interested, but most of them seem to have busy lives outside of bar billiards.
Anyway I wouldn't know how to get in touch with Nigel Tomsett but maybe the Horsham Secretary Ian Giffen might. Nigel's son Dave became quite a keen player at one stage.
Sadly John Davie is no longer with us. He did become a landlord and ran the Blue Ship for a number of years. He was well known around Sussex Bar Billiards circles, won a few honours at Team Captains, Over 50s etc and played for us in the Horsham A inter-league team. After a bad fall at home he developed gangrenous legs and passed on in May 2004.
