In the words of Unlucky Alf from The Fast Show................ Condolences. After all that hard work too. A cautionary tale indeed. If it's any consolation, you're not the first and certainly won't be the last. Bizarre to be left TWO balls round the 200 though. :o

Nice commentary Alan.
I am sure we have brought this up before, but in situations such as these I can't really see anything wrong with playing a "professional foul" and just missing the balls in question. You only have to play the ball passed the black peg for it to be deemed legal and if it is after the bar a ball deliberately put down a hole can be retrevied. But in both cases the opposition then takes the following shot.
The bottom line for me is that if you are in front and a ball is touching the black peg then there is no reason to move it, it is always the onus of the player behind to move the ball and get the game going again.

Sir KT beat me 2-0 at Ye Old Coach House tonight, a couple of nice breaks in each game for Kev to seal the game. 8-)
Many thanks to Hayley & Colleen for scoring the games, good luck to Kev in the rest of the competition. ;)

I beat Chris Oakley tonight 2-1 on the Tarring Club table.
The table was not good but the the break was gettable. Both players had to work hard to keep what scores they got.
Thanks to Neil Higgins for scoring the match.

I beat Steve Oliver 2-0 in the lower div singles at the Swan tonight.
The first was a really good scrap which left Steve just 450 behind after he got the break back in the last minute. The second was a very strange game with most of the balls stuck behind the left hand 50 for the first 10 minutes, but Steve had about the most bad luck I've seen a player have in one game, including a whip out of a 50 to take the black out in the last couple of minutes.
I've just seen the orange highlighting on SirKT's post on page one, a couple of corrections please:
Rob Driver and I won against Hayley and Richard Bulling in the lower div doubles. TJ and I lost to Alan and Jean in the mixed doubles.
