Marquis A 2 - 3 Stadium
I don't have the scores, but the major details were:
1. Ian Lelliott opened with 6k+ v Sandra Race, then added a further break to finish with 13k score. 0-1
2. Lorraine Hall accumulated a total score of 7990, which was easily enough v a dispirited Grant Tully. 1-1
3. Tony Lewis pegged his break v Chris Richards, but returned for a further break which he held, to win comfortably. 1-2
4. Sheena Wood kicked ff with 1800, but Geoff Jukes got the balls back at second attempt. His lead was only 800 with just a couple of minutes left, but Sheena could not get the break back so he had enough to win. 1-3
5. Martin Smith made a 6k+ opener v Jean Brackenridge, whose first break mustered only half of that deficit. She got another chance, however, and this time got over the line, despite some dramatic exchanges after the bar with the scores close. 2-3

Schooner 4 Three Horseshoes B 1
Yes that is right Schooner at last put it together to record their first win of the season.
Chris Lucas off cheaply and Steve Aylmore built a useful lead with Chris not finding the table throughout. 2980-1700 1-0.
Bill Kerr opened with 2k, Dave Millard couldn`t retrieve break, Bill did and made sure with 7k break. 10010-700 2-0.
Adam Squires off with just over 1k, Terry Molloy built 5k lead and that was enough. 6570-1830. 3-0.
Terry Race opened with 7k against Hayley Tunstall, then added another 3k. 10550-450. 4-0.
Dave Jones taking the break for a change opened with 1.5k. Tony Jenner got the balls back and going well at over 4k when played stupid shot to take peg. Bit of exchange at top of table saw Dave build another 1k on lead, Tony got break back but ran out of time. 2570-2940 4-1.

Three Horseshoes `A` 3 Duke of Wellie 2
Didn`t relish the thought of giving three breaks to a Wellie side that have seen our table enough already this season (Nige, Tupps & Reevesy all playing it in Brighton as well). Also, with Lolly still working away and Leon pulling out in the morning and worst of all, Mal giving the game up (only temporarily i hope), I had to find a couple of reserves ;)
KT 10,640 Regg3y 2,080 - We thought Nige would keep his aces back til later but I still had to try and take the first game. John opened with 1,900 and at my second visit, I retrieved the break and finished off with 10k. 1 - 0
Rick D. 12,980 H 200 - First reserve Ricky showed he hadn`t lost any ability, even after a 2-3 month gap. He opened with 7k, Henry didn`t manage to clear the balls and Ricky made another 5k. 2 - 0
BB Reaper 1,140 Feedthegoat 9,060 - Chris kicked off with7k. Kev had a chance but couldn`t clear the table. Chris made another 2k. 2 - 1
Bigjimsilverfox 12,790 Nige 0 - This was a strange situation. Had Lolly not moved down from Northants, there was a very good chance that Jim would have been our fifth player in Worthing. We`re very grateful to him for coming down at such short notice. He showed how much he has improved as well by taking on Englands number two, with a 3k and then another 9k break. Nige did get them back after Jims opener but put his first one-up behind. 3 -1
Stu 1,460 Tupps 9,580 - Tupps played a steady game to take the last 3 - 2
So a nice end to a stressful day :-X Who`d be a captain :P ???
