what a game a 4-1 win and could have been 5-0 against a very good black horse side, we had a wee bit of luck i must say but the game was played in the right mannor by both teams. wins for lucky nige over ric first time ever, and also for liam, matt first game for a year and what can i say about our star player PETER, can't buy a win in the league but two wins out of two in the off the spot comp, black horse as great company as always oh, sorry well played jan in a close game with sarah who payed very well..........................................big nige....

Sportsman 2 Brewers Droops 3
All 5 games went with the break......
I lost to Big Andy, who perfected the art of score a few and leave them awkward after a fairly even start. :'(
BigTJ beat Papa Hall on the last ball in a game that was always very close. ;)
Sir Trevor was defeated by Sir Jock, who learned from Big Andy and played a solid game. :(
DA-DM displayed some wonderful "Jersey" shots including a 2 cushion escape to pot a ball behind the 10 hole on her way to beat (make that thrash! :o) Mr Reaper in by far the best performance of the night by a home player! :o 8-) ;D ;D ;D
Lady Ros lost to XPTG, where after 8 minutes of the match the scores were 50-40 to Adam....... it did get slightly better after that with Adam always in front although Ros could have pinched it with a last red ball in the 200 hole, rather than the 20 hole. :-/
Sir Jock has promised a full report, with scores and filled with smileys no doubt, to celebrate his teams success. ::) ;D
Many thanks to the Hurst Club for allowing us to play the match (on our table) there, to Colleen for an excellent spread of food and to our opponents for making it the usual fun evening..... lots of laughs, some great company, both more important than the result - this time! ;D ;D
Well done to Sir Jock who won at 31 on the Hurst Table afterwards, while our guest (Bill Kerr) showed us all how to play the Sportsman table properly. ::) ;D
