The derby was on Monday and it was a battle of honour for the pub. As the A team were the "away" team so they got the breaks on the 2nd,3rd and 5th games. I also wanted to keep my very good Under 30's record up, so no holds barred :)
The draw was: David Parcell V Keith Macdonald Denise Parcell V John Baldry Patrick Elscombe V The Split (Johnny George) Jackie Coady V Phil Buckle Gareth Buckle V Pete Doherty
Shame as everyone was hoping for Phil to play his son Gareth, however it wasn't to be! The night got of and Keith won scoring over 5K, John swiftly followed in the same track. I went to play only to realise they had moved the schedule of the games around :o :( I wasn't told but neither was my opponent ::) Pete played and got a comfortable 6K. Next it was Phil Versus Jackie and Phil told me it always is 50/50 when they play. He was right for the first half of the game. Though there was a lot of shouting from the opposition, Phil got the break back to seal it. Then it was my turn ::) I got 800 and "tapped up" :D I am only saying that because of these recent proposals ::) I really under hit the break shot :-X :-[ I was in the lead throughout and did win with 4K.
So 5-0 to the A Team (please don't sue) and we now 10 points clear until I hear how the other teams did.
Rock On White Swan A :) :) 8-)
You can check Stats on the Cambridge Website by looking at the result table and clicking on the team, then player.
Lets just say I feel the love again for Bar Billiards as there was no worries for the first time. Still hate the proposal however I shall deal with it when the time comes and do what I do best, play Bar Billiards!
Johnny 8-)
