Duke of Wellington 2 - 3 Stadium
A hard-fought victory for the league-leaders, with the first 4 games all going against the break.
Game 1 - Ian Lelliott missed the break and was off with 50. Chris Reeves killed the game at his first visit. 1-0
Game 2 - Chris Tupper v Mark James. Tupps went off with 2700, your reporter got the balls back but broke down at 1700. A further chance was to follow almost immediately, however, and I made no mistake at 2nd attempt. 1-1
Game 3 - Martin Smith was off cheaply v Nigel Senior, who got the break back immediately. He missed unexpectedly at 4k approx, but Martin couldn't get the balls back, and Nigel did. 2-1
Game 4 - Henry Brooks appeared ill-at-ease during his 2k opening break v Geoff Jukes. Geoff established a 2k lead of his own after his first visit, but thereafter chances went a-begging to both players, before Geoff finally got over the line. 2-2
Game 5 - Grant Tully is renowned more for his imperious home performances than his away record, but he showed his team-mates the way to do it here, clinching the decider v Pete Brown with a magnificent 8600 break, compiled in almost 13 minutes. This left no chance for Pete, and secured the points for Stadium. 2-3
Next BB action takes place at the Hurst Club this weekend, where almost all of the players from this match will be competing in the Sussex comps. See you there.

Three Horseshoes `B` 1 Three Horseshoes `A` 4
The A side went one better than in December.
Barry S. 0 v Chris L. 12,210 - Chris off early, Barry couldn`t get them back and Chris made sure at his next visit.
Adam S. 5,850 v Sir Kt 2,500 - Adam made a positive start with about 4k in 7 minutes. No luck up the table for me this time and when I did getv them back, neede 5k in about 4 minutes, or so I thought. I broke down on 2k and the bar went at under 17mins. :-X. Well done Adam ;)
Dave M. 490 v Bigjimsilverfox 8,380 - Jim came off under 2k but got them back on his next go. He made about 4k but missed a ball behind the 10 hole giving Dave a chance. This he didn`t do and Jim finished off.
Chris L. 980 v Stu M. 9,440 - Chris was off cheaply and Stu looked good on his second break of about 7k.
Dave J. 300 v Mr Reaper 8,220 - Several chances early on for both players but Kev won decisively in the end.
No 100% ers left in the top divisions now.
Shoes `A` go clear second now after defeats for the Wellie & Swan `B` last night.
