Windmill A 2 - 3 Stadium
Played on the "amusement arcade" table
Game 1 - The highest break of the evening was the first visit of the first game, a 3k effort by Martin Smith. He was eventually overhauled by Charlie Cooper. 1-0
Game 2 - Alan Messer beat Tony Lewis 2-0
Game 3 - Grant Tully beat Gina Sherratt 2-1
Game 4 - Geoff Jukes beat Micky Pope 2-2
Game 5 - Mark James beat Edge Butler 2-3
Not much to add by way of embellishment, any shot played at a ball beyond the 100 hole was liable to go anywhere (or more often nowhere).

Well done Mark on getting a win from 2-0 down on that table.
Elms B 2 - 3 Duke of Wellington
The Elms was at its trickiest tonight, best performance coming from Glenn who is now P11 W10 L1!
Game 1 - Didn't see the game due to trees falling on train tracks but Richard beat Terry Denyer 0-1
Game 2 - Pete Mansfield won his break game against Tupps 1-1
Game 3 - Chris Reeves did not score much of his break, but put in a 3k break which proved decisive 1-2
Game 4 - Ron Brewer lost a 2k break, and Glenn played well when he did get the break back to seal the win 1-3
Game 5 - I missed my first one up, and then got Franced as he used every hole on the table to put the game well out of my reach on his first visit 2-3

Windmill C 3 Dolphin A 2.
An excellent evening of bar billiards and banter with the Dolphin putting up a great effort, but their luck does seem to be against them.
Game one. Sue Mariner on the break against the luckless ( some say hapless ) Rick Cunningham. Excellent effort by Sue playing the table out with 17,620 break. A pleasure to watch as Sue never looked like missing. 0-1 Dolphin.
Game two. Steve Aylmores` break against Sheena Wood. Steve opened with aroud 2k, Sheena got the break back and was going well when she four timed. Steve added about another 2k. Sheena played well but couldn`t avoid the pege. Final score 5920-2100. 1-1.
Game three. Alan Brackenbridge against Bill Kerr. Alan opened with under 1k, Bill replied with around 3k. Alan did not get to grips with the table and Bill won 8880-1460. 2-1 Windmill.
Game four. Arthur Brewster on the break against Jean Over. Arthur started off well but broke down on 3k. The game was nip and tuck for the best part until Jean got the break back towards the end and played a very good 5k break. 4680-6870. 2-2. Match nicely set for decider.
Game five. Caroline Refevti with the break against myself. Caroline started well and found the split perfectly. Unlucky to come off with a bounce out at over 2k. I started with around 2k, but did not look comfortable. Coroline was back on the break but back off quickly, this time I seetled in well and got a winning brek touching up just as the bar was due. 8420-3350. 3-2 to the Windmill.
Thanks again for a very enjoyable evening and a super effort Susie.

Tarring Club 2 - 3 Swan B
This result was in doubt right up until seconds before the bar dropped on the last game.
Bob Thomas went on against Barry Holt in the first game. Barry found the table a bit bemusing but finally managed a 3K break to win the first. 0 - 1 :(
Colin Green played Matthew Squires in the second. Colin finally got hold of the table this season with a 4K break. 1 -1 :D
Keith Wallace in the third against Phil Oakley. Phil had two games to watch and won easily. 1 - 2 :(
Yours truly went on next against Roger Taylor and opened up with a 2K break. Not enough against Roger I thought. Unfortunately for Roger, and fortunately for me, Roger failed to grasp the table and I managed to win the game. 2 - 2 :D
No Steve Hurley this week so we had call out our super sub, Dominik Ward. Dominik played Doug Mahy in the last game. Both players struggled to score. With both players trying to out score each other on pegs. However, Doug's skill and experience told in the end and he ran out winner, 1400 to 980. It could have been all so different if Dominik hadn't unfortunately lost 220 points seconds before the bar. 2 - 3 :'(
Good banter, as usual, all evening between both the teams. :D

Excellent effort by Sue playing the table out with 17,620 break. A pleasure to watch as Sue never looked like missing. Very well done Sue, glad to see one of the Mariners can still play the game ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
