Stadium 5 - 0 Dolphin
4 of the home players made 10k breaks in this match.
Game 1 - Sue Mariner, fresh from her Worthing league record ladies break the previous week, went on against Martin Smith. Sue had the break twice, but amassed only 3k. Martin struggled to get it back, but when he did he was error-free, 10K & touch.
Game 2 - Grant Tully's 10k opener gave no chance to Caroline Retfalvi. Grant would later peg a subsequent 5k break.
Game 3 - Jean Over had the break twice in the early stages, but like Sue earlier she failed to capitalise. Tony Lewis was rather fortunate with the shot that got the break back (actually, it was an outrageous fluke) but he took full advantage with a 10k break of his own.
Game 4 - Geoff Jukes with the break v Sheena Wood. Poor old Geoff is finding it all a bit of a struggle at present, he was off cheaply and the game degenerated somewhat. He finally got the balls back to win with 6k approx.
Game 5 - Mark James v Denise Mahy. There were balls all over the table for most of this game, your correspondent eventually got the break back in the nick of time.

Duke of Wellington 4 -1 Warren Club
Warren Club never really turned up against 4 man Duke of Wellington team who punished their mistakes.
Game 1 - Nick Brown opened with 3,500, but Nigel Senior's 9,000 reply put the home side 1-0 up
Game 2 - Glenn Chubb's excellent run of form continues, opening up with 7k, putting the game pretty much out of Barney's reach when he failed to get the balls back straight away, 2-0
Game 3 - A very scrappy game between Gary Ridley and Tupps. Both had the break several times, before Tupps finally finished the game and match off with a 7k score. 3-0
Game 4 - Chris Reeves only opened with 1,100, but got the break back and rattled up another 13k, and he fished with the nights top score of 15k. 4-0
No fifth player for the Duke made the final score 4-1

Three Horseshoes 3 West Tarring B 2
Kt & Dave Hampton won the first two games with 13k+ and then the scores seemed to vanish. Mal lost a very scrappy 3rd to Steve Hurley. Stu bt Roy Marsh 5k to 3k and Kev Hall lost to Dave Anscombe in another scrappy affair.
Well done to West Tarring , that`s 5 points they`ve taken off us this season.
Nice Chilli afterwards :P :)
