Stadium A 3 - 2 Gardeners A
Game 1 - Jean Brackenridge's opening 7k break left Martin Smith a half chance, but he didn't get the break back on his first visit, and that was that. 0-1
Game 2 - Grant Tully 7k and touch v Sandra Race, Sandra got the break back but sank it 4 times, Grant finished off. 1-1
Game 3 - Lorraine Hall off cheaply and Geoff Jukes got the break back instantly with a 3-ball shot. He made only 2k from that visit, but returned with another chance to wrap up the game. 2-1
Game 4 - Mark James 9k and touch v Sheena Wood. 3-1
Game 5 - Tony Lewis v Caroline Retfalvi, a scrappy game that culminated with Tony requiring a last ball 200 for a tie. He didn't get it, Caroline sank the 100 at first attempt. 3-2
With 3 league matches remaining, the title race continues to be exciting. This correspondent, however, will play no further part in it. I'm going to be far, far away for the remaining league games, so there will be no more reports from me this season.

Duke of Wellie 0 Three Horseshoes `A` 5 :o
Considering we`ve never beaten the Wellie/Brewery Tap sides in Worthing or Brighton in a league match this was an amazing result. With 3 matches to go this season, the winners were probably going to be favourites to take the title.
Pete Brown 3,610 Leon Beer 9,780 This surprised me a little, I thought Nige would go strong in the first. Both players had the break three times, Leon eventually posting a fair lead to get the point.
Tupps 3,900 BB Reaper 7,560 I am told Chris was unbeaten going second this season, so Kevs` task seemed all the harder. Tupps looked to be going ok until playing a split to thick and leaving both up. Kev got them back and took about a 1200 lead (including a corner shot which came all the way back to the 200 hole) :P. He managed to get them back again eventually to put the frame out of reach.
Nigel 0 Rick 16,320 Ricky was in determined mood and wanted to forget wednesdays loss at the Dyke. He did so by opening with 9k. Nige had a chance with 10mins left but tried to split one across the peg, which didn`t work. Ricky made another 7k for a great score.
Feedthegoat 4,220 Mal 9,300 Legs were becoming important now for both teams and Chris set about stopping the rot. It didn`t last for long though as he came off up the table on about 2k+ . Mal got them back and made a great 9k to put the Shoes further ahead.
Regg3y 1,340 Kt 15,160 With the Stadium A looking like getting 4 or 5 points at home, it was important for us that we get the last as well. I opened with 8500 and touched on. A few more visits each before I finished off with another 6k.
A fantastic result for us, great pizza as usual & excellent support from BB Warrior and Stu.
Remaining fixtures -
Horseshoes `A` - Swan `B`h, Gardeners `B`a, Stadium `B`h
Stadium `A` - Dolphin a, Windmill `C`a, Duke of Wellie h
Duke of Wellie - Swan `A`a, Gardeners `A`h, Stadium `A`a
With just 1 point separating these three teams and two legs between the Shoes & Stadium, it`s going to the wire ;)

Windmill 3 Swan A 2
Great evening, plenty of banter with the result always in doubt with most players struggling to keep their breaks going.
Game 1. Chris Elliott 5670 Vern Blake * 2790 Vern off at about 1k, Chris missed break at first visit. Both played at top Chris first back on break, again kept putting one up inside 50 hole, but eventually got enough to secure win 1-0.
Game 2. Bill Kerr * 2890 Pete Mansfield 1050 The scores tell the story, Bill coming off with 1k but Pete never got hold of table, and Bill kept his nose in front. 2-0
Game 3. Terry Molloy 2650 Terry Denyer * 6810 Again both players had early chances before Terry D got hold of break and built a 5k break to put game out of reach of Terry M. 2-1
Game 4. Tony Jenner * 6690 Dave France 7220 probably the game of the evening with TJ opening with 4k, Dave getting the break back but off at 1.5k, TJ two further goes at break, but could not now master the one up and only added another 2.5k from those two efforts, but had in the event of what went before a handy 5k lead. Dave got break back with around 6 minutes left and proceeded to play the table out to win with the best score of the night. 2-2
Game 5. Steve Aylmore 4150 John Hayward * 1740 Decider gave TJ a few moments for thought with three to choice from, and went with Steve. John started well, but again was having trouble with the one up. Steve similar story and halve way through game remained in balance. John got break back and looked comfortable and liable to lead Swan to win, but he four timed, giving Steve the chance to settle down and grind out a win. 3-2.
Interesting finale to season with Stadium having to play Windmill and Duke, Horseshoes with potentially three tough fixtures, finishing with the revitalised Sadium B. Good luck to all three and what a tremendous climax to yet another competitive Worthing season.
