The Betteshanger Club bounced back with a 6-0 win at home against The Magnet A side from Deal, to maintain top spot in Group A.
Neville Potts (10,400) started in fine form for the home side in the singles, which was followed by Wack Sampson (5,640) and then John Addley (8,700) to post some impressive scores in the 3k maximum break games.
This form continued in the doubles as Sampson & Potts (3,010) and then Addley & Sampson (1,880) hit large breaks in the triangles rules matches, before the last game was won by Potts & Addley (1,910), but only after a very late break by Potts snatched the game from Mike & Lin Callanan as the bar dropped, to secure maximum points and keep the pressure on those teams chasing them.
