Cracking game between the Stadium and The Duke Of Wellington tonight at the Stadium. Here's the run down...
First game, Steve Mariner vs Chris Reeves
Chris had the break and ran the table out with 24,000. Not much more you can say really..... 1-0 to the Duke
Second game, Grant Tully vs Chris Tupper
Grant went of with 10k then touched up to win the game. Enough said about that.... 1-1
Third Game, Ian Lelliott vs Nigel Senior
nigel had the break but came of with about 1k. Ian then got the balls back and got about 9k to win the game, 2-1 to the Stadium
Forth Game, Geoff Jukes vs Richard Wooton
Geoff came off after leaving his first one up short, so Richard, using crutches due to toes being brocken in BOTH his feat hobbled up and some how, and i'm still getting my head round this, blocked out the pain, and the fact tht he could hardly stand up to make a cool 9k to win the game and level the match. 2-2
Fith Game, Mark James vs Glenn Chubb
Glenn went of with 6k and came off due to either a bad brain moment on a split, but we shall call it a kick to save face for our owner. Mark went to the table, but left 3 balls still up, which Glenn then got the balls back and closed out the game to seal a close fought victory for the Duke
Stadium 2-3 Duke Of Wellington
Great night overall between two of the top teams. Looking forward already to the return game....

Dolphin 2-3 Elms B On the subs bench again :( as the Elms win 3 in a row on the Dolphin table which was O.K if you could keep the break Game 1 saw Dave France fresh from his Masters high break trophy win give Sheena Wood no chance 0-1
Jean Over pegged her first break against John Hayward,John amassed around 4,000 and then broke down.Jean came back but broke down when it looked as if she might win 0-2
Terry Denyer with the break, pegged when going well on a ball left short of the 100 hole.Alan Brackenridge then made a good break to give Terry no chance 1-2
Caroline Retfalvi with the break continued her good form with a win over Ron Brewer after he also pegged his first break 2-2
Captain Vern Blake finished off with the win against Chris Richards?(Think this is right,my apologies if not) in a game where most of the time the balls were at the top of the table 2-3
Lots of food which is always nice and then a freindly doubles for me and Ron against Sheena and Chris?(Apologies again) which saw the balls up the top of the table again to finish off :)
Bad luck the Dolphin, you are playing better than your 0 points suggest

Sorry wrong key again . Tony finished with 13,050 score to ensure 4 - 1 win.
On the other Table the Windmill A beat the Warren Club 3 - 2. I`m sure a report will be posted at a later time.

Dolphin B beat previously unbeaten Elms A 3-2 away.
Table played more difficult as the evening wore on.
Game 1. Captain decided to put himself on although always hates playing first.
Dave Jones breaks off with 6980. Damian Hurley tries and gets break back but doesn't score many. 0-1
Geoff Alibone v Dave Richings Geoff break down very early and Dave playing steady and keeps most of his scores. 0-2.
Adam Squires then put the game out of the Elms reach with a gritty performance against Trev Burgess. 0-3.
4th game. Bob Hurley tries his luck and playing break both ways ends up winning 3220-120 against young Luke Barnes. 1-3
Barry Squires still struggling with his neck failed to get to grips with table and was beaten by Ian Hoyle. 2.3.
Excellent performance lads!

I believe they all ten enjoyed the quirks of the table ( just ask the Duke of Wellington ).

So you want the lowdown on the cracking game between the Windmill A and the Warren Club
Below are the highlights . . . . and now the rest of the report
First game won by Charlie Cooper against the break, Graham Lewis had no luck and appeared totally mystified
Second went against the break to Nick Brown, Alan Messer had no luck and appeared totally mystified
Third game went against the break this time Gina won at the death against Neil Higgins and both players looked totally mystified.
Fourth game finally won with the break by Micky Pope, Nice and steady always about a thousand ahead. Gary Ridley looked mystified.
Finally Tony Burgess took another game for the Warren in the last against Edge Butler.
If we added up all the points scored by all the players we would probably be approaching 25,000. Yes we were all mystified by this table. the break is easy the one up is easy and it splits. Where was the problem? As Bigtj says ask the Duke of Wellington who suffered a similar defeat a few weeks ago.
