I'm pleased to say that, having looked at several possible venues, we will be playing our matches from the United Services Club in Haywards Heath next season.
The Club already have a team in the Mid-Sussex League and also recently hosted the first Mid-Sussex Masters, which proved what an ideal venue it is, the table plays superbly (thanks to Sparky looking after it! ;)) and the wide range of drinks they offer are all at Club prices.....!! 8-) ;D
We look forward to welcoming teams there next year and if any teams (from any Leagues, not just Lewes) would be interested in a friendly match on a Monday evening, please let me know and we will be happy to arrange something..... ;)

We were made very welcome and enjoyed some good competition, banter and good sandwiches. The table played superbly and the match finished all square at 3-3 which is how a friendly should be ! Thanks to Dave and his team for a fine evening. 8-)

Thanks to Dave and his team for a fine evening. 8-) An excellent warm-up for the season with some competitive games. 8-) Scores from the games...... Charlie Cooper 2,430* - 4,290 CMOH Charlie left his first one up short and Sandra took full advantage with several useful breaks while Charlie had very little luck. Sandra even lost a 2k break which gave Charlie a chance to close the gap towards the end. 0-1 :( Sparky 5,040 - 2,780* Dave Snashfold Dave lost his opening break and Graham knocked in a good 4k break. Dave had a couple of goes at the break after that but Sparky was always in control. 1-1 ;) Bill Kerr 5,230* - 6,280 Clive Thompson Both players broke down at about 1k on their first visits to the table, Tommo then knocked in a well built 5k. Bill got the balls back straight away with just about enough time to catch up, but broke down on 4k. 1-2 :'( Gina Sherratt 5,160 - 3,180* Lorraine Hall A nice 2.5k opener from Lorraine who retained a good lead for the first half of the game, but Gina took over after that with a couple of good breaks to bring the match level. 2-2 ;D BB Warrior 9,630* - 570 Mr Reaper ;D A somewhat flattering scoreline really.... ::) ... I had several goes at the break while nothing went right for Kev at all. 3-2 ;D Tony Jenner 5,080 - 6,370* Paul Trottman Paul off on about 1.5k allowing TJ to take the lead with a good 3.5k break, but a captains innings from Paul saw a nice 4k break touching up when the bar dropped to make it all square on the night. 3-3 8-) Aggregate Scores - USC 32,570 - 23,470 South Park CC A very enjoyable evening in good company. ;D 8-)
