Yeah they did. We were slaughtered 5 nil I think but it was good fun none the less. Well I enjoyed myself if no one else did. Thank you to whomever I played (sorry name I forget) for the game, it was enjoyable for a new perosn like myself to watch if nothing else, but the sportsmanship in letting me actually have a go was very appreciated. I'll ask Wolfman to post up the results when I see him today. Good Luck to those remaining. Hem.

The Final of the Nobby Clark, which should have been played last Thursday is now on tonight at the Elms between the Swan B & the Warren Club.
The Final of the Nobby Clark Consolation Plate is this Thursday 27th, at the Three Horseshoes between the Elms B & the Romans.
The Summer League Final is also this Thursday at the Gardeners, between the Marine View A & West Tarring Club
Support will be welcome at any of these matches.
If anyone needs to see me, I will be at the Elms tonight and the Three Horseshoes on Thursday.

Swan B beat the Warren club 3-2 last night in the main Final.
Matt Squires took the first for the Swan beating Nick Brown, both players had several chances. Nick felled the black pin with no chance at the end. 3050 - 0
Brian Richards & Tony Burgess both had numerous chances as well. Brian triumphant. 4010 - 2000
Gary Ridley pulled one back for the Warren beating Roger Taylor. Roger pegged his first chance after Gary`s opener, then Gary killed the leg . 5080 - 1660
After having a go on the table before the match, I didn`t think there was a great deal wrong with the it, but watching the first 3 games I wasn`t so sure. ??? Barry put my mind at rest in the fourth, opening with 7260, putting the leg & match out of reach of Barney, who pinned his first split. Barry got another 5k just for good measure. ;) 12310 - 640
Neil Higgins took the last against Doug Mahy . 6840 - 1260
Well done the Swan B, commiserations to the Warren club ( now the Gardeners B).

Yes - well done to the Swan and thanks for agreeing to move the final to last night. We would have felt really guilty if we had beaten you after you had agreed to do that - honestly we would ;D
Oh and by the way Kev I didn't pin my first split (I simply missed both balls) - to pin it I would have had to get the white a bit nearer to the 100 hole than I managed! ::)

Good luck to all teams involved in the finals tonight, both games on very good tops and should lead to competitive matches.
