Southwater SC 2 Plough B 3
Tom Darkins 3,620 - 1,300 Jenny Edwards Jenny got the break first time, then missed with both balls.... :o both players struggled for a while then Tom got the break back a couple of times to build a winning lead. 1-0 :(
Wayne Holloway 330 - 5,880 Pete Edwards Pete was finding it very hard to get both balls down consistently on the break, but played the 50 holes superbly to knock in a couple of 2k breaks and give Wayne very little time on the table. 1-1 ;D
Jeff Paine 960 - 3,860 Dave Ingram My turn to struggle with the break and I was off early but managed to get it back on my next visit to knock in 2k without managing to get as far as putting both balls down 3 times running on the break.... ::) .....Jeff had very little luck at all and I was happy to just keep in front. 1-2 :-/
Matt Senior 1,440 - 2,060 Darrell Skinner Very scrappy game with neither player able to settle, Matt came back well towards the end of the game but Darrell potted the important balls after the bar had dropped to make sure of the win. 1-3 ;)
Chris Purkiss 4,490 - 330 Marion Skinner A solid game from Chris which gave him a comfortable win over Marion. 2-3 :'(
Nice to see a team made up entirely of younger players, all of whom obviously enjoy playing the game...... enjoyable company and a nice spread of sarnies, sausage rolls, quiche, mini pasties and crisps..... good luck to the SSC for the rest of the season, we were probably lucky that we played you at the start of the season before you had warmed up properly! 8-) ;D

First 2 legs went to the last ball Steve was unlucky in the first pegging 2.7K & Jock fought back well against Mick's lead & closed it down.
Adam played supurbly in the 5th & showed us all how to do it

BB Warrior-I didnt realise this was your alter ego!!!
Was an enjoyable night. Tom and Chris's pre season practice showed, whereas myself Wayne and Jeff have to avoid the bar and head towards the table i think!

Yes Matt, it was me..... guilty as charged! ;D Very enjoyable evening with you all, as I said nice to see a whole team of younger players.... and all of you obviously know one end of a cue from the other, just glad that you hadn't all been practising over the summer. 8-) Hope you all have a great season, will look forward to reading your reports..... ;D
