1st Round 1st leg
Reading A 3 Oxford A 2 agg 38,810 to 20,630 dif 18,180
Tony Walsh 13,790 Steven Sheard 100 Phil Hawkins 8,890 Keith Sheard 2,170 Paul Sainsbury 110 Dave Tooke 11,810 Keith Lewendon 2,310 Alan Oliver 5,950 Bernie McCluskey 13,710 Dave Rose 600
Tony was impressive, when he nearly played it out in the first.
I only opened with just under 2,000 & Phil finished most of the game off with a fine 8,000+ break.
Dave T played well to open with nearly 8,000 in 11 minutes.
Keith came off early & Alan worked hard to get a good 5,000+ break, Keith came back with a break of 3,000 but was 700 behind at the bar, but went through the peg in his attempt to win.
Dave R was also off early, Bernie struggled to get the break back at first, but when he did he got a good sizeable break to finish off.
A top quality match & two fine points for us, to give us a great chance in the second leg on Tuesday 27th March at the Nelson.

Not heard anything, but there again we are not organised like you ;)
Saying that if you were organised I wouldn't have to walk over the shop for my milk ! :D
Though I could maybe do with losing an ounce or two MAYBE ::)

How did the Bar billiard game on Saturday Enysham C against Northhants go lads ? As per the quote above, your guys cancelled due to lack of players. I think we have no other option than to claim the game. We have no way of playing both legs prior to the end of the month.

1st Round 2nd Leg Oxford A 2 Reading A 3
Alan Oliver 11,750 Phil Hawkins 330 Kevin Godfrey 5,710 Bernie McCluskey 6,590 Keith Sheard 9,510 Paul Sainsbury 3,400 Dave Tooke 3,010 Tony Walsh 6,010 Steven Sheard 3,120 Keith Lewendon 6,470
Alan started with a fine break of 9,500 to give us a great start, 1-0.
Bernie opened with 6,000, Kevin came back with two breaks of 3,000 & 2,000 but Bernie hung on to win, 1-1.
Paul went in with 2,000 & after a couple of visits each I managed to get the break back & hit a 9,000 break, 2-1.
Dave (the star of the 1st leg) also went in with 2,000, Tony eventually got the break back to get a 5,000 break & hold on to the lead to make it 2-2.
This meant that Steven had to win by 5,530 to put us through, but Keith had other ideas & opened with a fine 6,000 break to leave Steven no time to catch the aggregate, 2-3
A good match and a friendly night and good luck to Reading A in the next round.
:'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

As Keith says a fine match, as all our encounters with Oxford A are. Both legs played in a good spirit. A most enjoyable night although a win for me would have been nice for my 190 mile round trip!!

Wycombe A 3-2 Eynsham A
Eynsham A move into the semi-finals with an aggregate win over Wycombe A. Ray Sturgess on last, needing to win by around 14,200. All was looking good until he missed on c7,800, his opponent scored about 800, Ray then got the break straight back and rattled in enough to give Eynsham A the win by about 600. A great match to involved in.
