With 2 players pulling out on the day of the game, a desperate call to arms bought a couple of reserves on the journey to the Cricketers tonight..... a trip that took even longer than it should have done thanks to GoogleMaps taking us around various lanes in West Sussex & Hampshire, most of which weren't in the direction that we were meant to be going.....!! ::)
But, a quick phone call to "Yorkshire Terrior Nav" 8-) and we finally arrived at this very nice country pub. ;D
Cricketers 2 Winterton A 4
Ted Walters 1,510 - 8,100 Dave Ingram Gilbert White BP - 8,470 Tony Jenner (Gilbert missing his "special") Alan Shaw 8,010 - 2,170 James Bicknell Alex Elms BP - 2,240 Colleen Park (Alex went for the 200 with Colleen too far ahead to catch) Alan & Alex 9,070 - 2,600 Colleen & Dave (Nice 8k break from Alan) 8-) Ted & Ian Goulding 1,980 - 2,970 James & Tony
Many thanks to our opponents for a very enjoyable evening in good company with plenty of friendly banter, nice table to play on and a lovely pub to visit. ;)

Really looking forward to the cricketers! Should have played a pre season friendly but had to bring our week 1 forward.
Thanks for making the trip warrior and LAB! All got a bit hairy for teams last night but all 3 games got played! (Thanks from us to Mrs Hon Vice P!!) The number of miles travelled would be a fascinating stat!
What an awesome night out at the Woolie with the Henty Team the score is absolutely nothing to do with my post the evening was all about the reason I put so much into the game! :D
Thanks Chaps!! ;D ;D ;D
By the way we lost 5 1
Simon get that damned hoody ironed!! ;)

Well an unexpected debut for me in West Sussex and can I say good to meet up with one or two old comrades, an very warm welcome from home side ( Cricketers) and will at least try to play a couple more as Brighton fixtures allow and if needed again.
Lovely pub once we found it, plenty of banter, variety of sandwiches and for my point of view a rare excursion with the break on a reasonable table.
Glad I could come to the assistance of a lovely lady in need of my body (well one can always dream ), and good luck for rest of season to those who regularly do combat.

Well, I've been called a few things in my time Tony..... ::) ..... but never a "lovely lady" before!! :o :o :o Oh well, I guess that it was Colleen that first asked me if I could find another player for the evening, so I suppose that I will let you get away with it on that count...... and many thanks for helping out! 8-) ;D
