BRIDGE:5 BEERMATT BREWERS:0 Insert "A Bridge too far" jokes at your leisure.
KEV STONER:4270 PETE:1120 MARCUS:4130 SARAH:2780 Our stand in captain played very well towards the end and was on a 1.6k break when the bar dropped JEAN:7340 LYNNE:1360 Jean put on the evenings highest total despite apparently using someone elses cue! NIGEL:4920 PAUL:2630 Nigel came off at just over 4k and it was back-board all the way then on in. ALAN:6580 SPUD:1930 After a close first half, Alan eventually applied the brush with a tidy 4k break to finish off the frame.
Our dissapoitment was tempered by a lovely chilli con carne later on. Thanks to the Bridge team for an enjoyable night out. Just hope we can avoid the hat-trick of whitewashes next week!

Got cue out of my case only to find it was Dougs cue! Started off with Alans cue then switched to a spare 2 piece cue we had in the garage, which i was going to try out after the match with the intention of possibly taking it to Jersey. Cant be bothered to take mine as costs loads and they mislaid it coming home last year.
I blame Molly. Had a bad game on Sunday and he said i should change my cue and play left handed! Think he changed the cues around so that i had to use a different one BUT playing left handed! NO WAY can't even hold the cue.
Good night at the Bridge. Thanks to the Brewers Beermats for an enjoyable evening.
Best shot of the night! Came from Sam who was having a go on the table after the match and got a 100 hole and 20 hole off a ball that no-one (Alan & Nige included) said could possibly be got the way she was going to play it!!! ;) :o ;D
