Yes, I find it quite shocking that those neighbouring Counties have not got any entrants in our Open, maybe they all work on Saturdays!!, so perhaps it's time to follow along the lines of the rest of the Opens and have it on a Sunday.
Although we usually have more enter our Open than most others have in theirs.
I was talking to Dave Alder at the England v Jersey match and he asked me whether the Open format is being run on 8 or 9 tables, I told him that I didn't know, so I've popped the question on here.
AEBBA only have 8 tables and as the Open and the Inter Area 7s usually use at least 9 tables may I ask if someone is delivering a table from elsewhere or is the Club table being used as the extra table?
Proud holder of the World Record score for Off The Spot of 25,950.

I am looking to enter in nearly all opens this year, but out working Friday night and then out all day sunday for the Inter-area otherwise i would of gone in to this, shame as this is one of the closer opens to me,
In regards to Tables as far as i know 8 tables are needed for the saturday, I have spoken to Dave who is trying to sort out an extra one for sunday, also spoke to Leon who has said that we can use the clubs table for sunday but will need to stay where it is which is fair enough so we have that as a back up. if anyone has anything further let me know
Many thanks everyone for your support and special thanks to Tony Willis and Dave Tooke for helping me run the day. Thanks also to Pete Soanes and Jenny Parsons for doing the raffle which raised £208. :) We had a slight table problem which we overcame and we still managed to finish more or less on time. ( Will be corrected next year).
Congratulations to all the winners and hopefully see you all next year.
