Congratulation to Ray Sturgess in winning the Witney Summer Singles. Ray beat Martin Friend in the semi-final with Jon Bamsey beating Tony Willis in the other. Both winning quite comfortably. In the final, Jon was on first and missed on around 8.9k with Ray coming back with 8.4k. Ray then went in with 7.5k, Jon having enough time to catch, missed early and Ray finished it off. I am sure than Tony will add more details with exact scores later. Congratulations again Ray, hope you don't play that well tonight ;)

Thanks Mark. Yes there was some good billiards last night on an excellent Royal Oak Burford table. Ist Semi Ray Sturgess 12670 and 12970 Martin Friend 1440 and 40
2nd Semi Tony Willis 1520 and 6330 (doh!) Jon Bamsey 12980 and 9570
Final Ray 8350 and 15260 Jon 8830 and 720
Jon slipped up in the first at 8.8k missing a deep 50/20 shot and Ray finished off the table. Again Ray missed at about 8k in the second but Jon failed to capitalise with enough time left and Ray finished it off in good style. Well done to Ray.
We also presented the Summer Cup to the Red Lion at Cassington for winning a very close summer league. The Tandem B did very well to come through to take runners-up and the Summer Shield. Thanks to all who turned up on the night and I sincerely hope we see our 'summer visitors' again next year! I really enjoyed this little league.
cheers Tony
