The Nelson table has now been moved to it's new home at the Cowley Workers Club and I have been informed that the last Wallingford (Summer league) match between the Nelson & Horse & Harrow has now been switched to the Vikings Club, so may I thank both teams for that. :)
Our match can now go ahead at the Cowley Workers on Sat 3rd Oct and I have no problem with Pete doing the presentation on the night as Secretary or not depending on whether he decided to withdraw his resignation.
I also hope his operation went well, as I haven't heard anything yet.
Keith.

Just a reminder everyone that the All England Area Team Final between Horse & Harrow and Nelson is at the Cowley Workers Club this Saturday. Presentation will also take place.
Nelson will be after revenge after their defeat against Harrow last year.
Has anyone arranged supper with the club???
Best of luck to both teams. Cheers Pete

Congratulations to Horse & Harrow on winning the Oxford Area Team Championships.
They beat us 3-0 tonight at the Cowley Workers Club, I haven't got the scores, but Pete Welch beat Mark Trafford 8,000+ to 7,000+, Maxi McDonnell beat Pauline Withey with a 9,000+ break after Pauline had lost her opening break and Gary Johnson went in with 8,000+ with Kevin Godfrey replying with 5,000+ before missing, it would have been tight if he had carried on.
We did win the last two games as consolation with myself opening with 10,000 against Pete Burton and Steven scoring 16,000 against Paul Lawson.
So good luck to the Horse & Harrow in the Team Championships in Reading on the 25th of this month, I'm sure they will do well again.
I would also like to thank the Club for their hospitality and for putting on a free supper. :)
