Dun Horse home to Southwater CC A
Mel and Scott had a tight game but Scott managed to pull ahead and take the frame for the home side.
Tony struggled to start in the second game before racking up a 2k lead. Stuart started as though he was still on holiday before settling mid-game to pull back level. Tony, however, had other plans and managed to rattle in another 1k5 before the bar dropped to level the match.
The third game between Captain Colin and Ray started off scrappy and would have been close had Colin not knocked loads of pegs over! 2-1 to Southwater.
Another scrappy start to the fourth game with Tony breaking with 500. After half a dozen visits each, it became obvious that Dave was playing with the set of square balls that Colin used last week. Tony managed to get his head down and rattle in enough to make the game safe.
Keith managed to get 2k in front before Grant started closing. Unfortunately every time he got close, Keith managed to pull ahead.
Consistent with current form Dun Horse have lost yet another match 4-1. At the halfway stage in the league calendar, this is likely to see us firmly rooted at the bottom of Div. 2. :-[Still, as the great sage Yazz once sang, “The only way is up!”
