United Services Club v Brewers Droops
2nd v 3rd in the League, some very competetive games played tonight......
Dave Ingram 1,580 - 8,010* Adam Bateup Plenty of chances for both players, with Ponytail Guy making the most of them.... 0-1
Gina Sherratt 6,460* - 1,400 Pete Hall A good performance from Gina with a couple of solid breaks to make sure of the frame. 1-1
Tony Jenner 1,070 - 9,190* Rob Hall An opening 4.7k break from Rob gave TJ some work to do, again chances for both players with Rob wrapping up the game with another couple of decent breaks. 1-2
Graham Sparksman 8,830* - 4,560 Richard Jeffrey A very well worked 8.6k opener from Sparky (who touched up after some heavy hints from his captain... 8-)) gave Sir Jock no chance, although he showed what he could have done with a couple of nice breaks at the end. 2-2 ;D
And so to the decider...... Bill Kerr v Andy Farmer-Wright Andy opened with a very solid 4.8k break, Bill got the balls back straight away but broke down on 2.5k..... Andy couldn't get the break back.... Bill did and played the table out, touching up when the bar dropped to secure the win. Final Score - Bill 6,110 - 5,010* Andy
A very pleasing win for the home team..... ;D ;D ;D ..... as always, the Droops were terrific company and as sporting in defeat, as they are in victory. 8-)
A good selection of sarnies, cheeses & french bread and a big plateful of chips..... all in all, a great evening. ;D ;D

A good evening in good company and fitting that it should be decided at the end of the last game :)

BEERMATT BREWERS:1 STAND UP:4 A little bit ring-rusty tonight
Pete:840 Tony Ratcliffe:2550 Tony was unlucky to peg a 4k break early doors but Pete was unable to capatalise and Terry saw it out with some solid play. Spud:6260 Terry Gasson:2950 Didnt do much with my opener but came back for two 2.5k breaks to take the frame against an unlucky Terry who struggled to get going. Nigel:1530 Andy Guy:1590 Nige was ahead for pretty much all this frame until virtually the last ball, where Andy held his nerve to put his side back in front. Lynne:1010 Alex Schlup:3230 Lynne had been playing very well in the Christmas break with her new cue but struggled to find that form tonight. Alex played well and kept Lynne off the table to win the frame and take the match. Paul:1660 Paul Rayner-Brown:3040 Another decent match that was close for much of the time. Mr Moyes-Robb look to have the consolation point in the bag but unfortunatly pegged a frame winning break and Mr. Rayner-Brown stepped in to clear the balls and take the frame.
Cheers to the Stand Up for a good night of Billiards. All the best to them for the rest of the season. Our campaign continues tonight for a rearranged match away to the Horns Lodge.

wouldnt that mean the bridge are below u if they have got 31 points or does that mean they are on 41 Oops, a large slip of the finger from me..... :-[ ..... Bridge should be on 39 points (it must have been my wishful thinking that they were only on 31 points!) ;D Table now updated and includes the CKRBL 4-1 victory over Black Horse.
