Dun Horse V Railway Played at Windmill Littleworth
Grant on first against Sniffer. Both players struggled with the table. The bar got stuck and it was decided that after 20 minutes playing, neither player was going to get the break back so they might as well finish. (Actually I was a bit late and the first game was just finishing. ::) The bit about the bar and 20 mins was true though! ;D)
Dave just about got his coat off to play second. Broke off with just over 4k. Mick on with equal breaks, managed about 1.5k. Both players then got bogged down at the top of the table with lots of goes for not much score.
Captain Colin on third against Worzel who broke off with about 3k. Colin had one of those games where he was playing all the right shots but not getting the balls in or the scores on the board. Worzel on the other hand whilst not getting massive breaks was keeping scores.
Scott up next against Ray. Both players broke with just over 1k. Ray just couldn’t get anything going, wheras Scott managed to get the break back a couple of times and racked up a 2k and a 3k break to level the match.
Stuart on last against Clacky. Both players broke well and the game looked to be going to the wire but in the closing stages, Clacky managed to squeeze in a couple of 1k breaks leaving Stuart trailing.

The Windmill is quite a difficult table to play, once the balls are up the top of the table it’s very difficult to get the break back. That said, the aggregate scores for the match are quite respectable. Interesting to note that despite equal breaks, every game went with first break.
A fun night with plenty of friendly banter (including Steve Eely!) Thanks to the Windmill too for laying on some yummy sandwiches. :D
