Well what a result last night.
Keith Hollis / Dave Gordon (Ian's supersub due to footy) 1 - 1 Mick Jones / Jason Catermole
Very tight first game with us losing narowly by just under 400.
Another tight second game with Dave supersub Gordon getting a decisive break of 700 at the death when the scores were pretty much level and managed to keep it this time putting us over about 600 as the bar went over the two legs.
A win on aggregate.
High break (my opening of just over 2K as everyone was struggling to get the break, one up and split with any regularity.
Keith Hollis / Dave Gordon 2 - 0 Dave (can't think of the surname) / Sean Stratford
Another close match with no large breaks and once again near the end of the first Dave had a £1K+ break down the bottom end that proved decisive as it closed the scores meaning my break to come.
Several 1K + breaks but the table was getting harder and harder as the white came in.
Sean went one up splits, I was going to go reverse but never had another chance to try it although did put a £ in after and it went in much easier as I suspected after struggling with the normal approach.

Venue - Red Lion
Terry Cook & Thomas Ellis-Rees winning through after beating Mark Trafford & Greg Warland, then Bob Allsworth & Maxi McDonnell.
All very close games that could have gone either way in the last 2 minutes of every game.

The giant killers continue their run and reach the final which for me is the second time, can I win it again, this time with Dave Gordon as my partner.
Result from game at Red Lion.
Keith/Dave approx 4K and 7K v Pete/Kev appox 5K and 1K
Descisive opening break of nearly 5K in second frame tipped the tie after a 3K break near the end of the first frame.
Terry and Thomas in the final next.....

Another great result for you there Beefy and Dave.
I don't think your partner will be running the table out with 21k+ in the final this time though Beefy ;) ;D ;D 8-)
By my reckoning, Kennington SC will be represented in every final this year apart from the Team KO ? Not bad for a section 2 side :o
