Well that ws a great weekend, even with me feeling ill on Saturday I still enjoyed it! Well done all the winners, (though of course two very close to home are especially congratulated!) Thankyou to James for a fantastic job of running the show, as per usually one of my favourite events of the year. xx

Our sincere thanks goes out to all who contributed to this great weekend, particularly James for all of the behind the scenes work in organising/scheduling, the ESSSC for the venue, for the ladies supplying food for what appeared to be hours, and for everybody who helped with tables etc.
Many congratulations to all of the winners. Hope to see you again throughout the new season, presentation night and, of course, at the competition weekend next year.

Can I add my thanks? ;D
As the one individual who may have been labelled a "ringer" over the weekend; >:( I want to thank all those who were involved - players and facilitators alike. It was a great weekend. How James managed to work and play as he did is beyond me - and I speak from experience when I say that to get to finals while having the entire weekend on your mind is no mean feat.
Nipper, apologies, but my highlight was probably witnessing THAT break; the 9k which left you one down in the final - Mick has waited a long time to claim that trophy and to win it like that took nerve - so congrats to Mr Freeman, as well as to all the finalists. It was good to see so many new faces - and young ones at that!
The venue is excellent; the food and staff too. And the whole thing at club prices! Marvellous. The W Sx weekend IS unique as far as I know, with so many competitions played to a finish in such a short space of time; it is hard work for the players and more so for the organisers, but well worth it. And long may it continue. Thanks again to all concerned.
