Great work Tommo. Please use the website it has all the information you could wish for. You can also get there by clicking on the little house under my Avatar.
On the Mid Sussex board I have explained something about the loss of a huge chunk of the website which was designed four years ago using software that is no longer supported by my provider. This is necessitating a complete re-design of the website, which I have already made a start on.
So far progress has been slow, as time has moved on and things don't work exactly as they did before: I am having to learn/try to grasp the new concept of CSS (= Cascading Style Sheets) and a whole new selection of accompanying features, as well as trying to transfer across 50-odd webpages using a File Transfer Protocol client.
Although the Horsham and Billingshurst websites were unaffected at the time of the Mid Sussex loss, I will be obliged to similarly re-design these also, as they use my free computer space but are inextricably linked ("pointed") to Mid Sussex. Which means that when the new Mid Sussex goes live, they will have to follow in their new format, which also means they won't be visible for a couple of days, and may not even work properly for a few days afterwards......
Horsham and Billingshurst will remain in their present state for as long as possible, with only limited updates (I think the daily 'sweep' for movement has become a weekly one, so you'll have to bear with me for the first couple of weeks of the new season.)
Hopefully, though, the end results will be worthwhile as they will be less simplistic and have more of a professional feel to them.
I know you will do everything you can to get it looking great & with the minimum disruption, Thanks for all your hard work on this. I would offer to help out but I wouldn't what to do.
You already serve your purpose as joint webmaster, Ian, with your weekly report which is in user-friendly format and which I guess is the best excuse for most people for visiting the website in the first place !

Just to confirm that, as a result of problems and delays with getting the new design websites under way, I will be now be holding on to the websites in their current format for as long as humanly possible!
I can no longer add new pages, but am fairly confident at being able to work with the 50 pages that exist at present. And I have good backup.
I will record some of the problems I have encountered - and solutions found - on the Mid Sussex thread separately.
A complete re-vamping of the Horsham website is now on course for Christmas. File extensions will no longer be supported in their present format beyond that time.
A preview of how a new file attachment page (hosted by Google Cloud) will look can be seen if you click on the link below and select "Roll of Honour":
Thats fantastic Clive well done & a lot of hard work on your behalf thank you. everthing you could possibly wish to know about the history of past events all there on one page. If you are looking remember to keep scrolling down & down otherwise you will miss it all.
Ok thanks for your response Ian, wasn't sure if the new style page caused any inherent problems for printing or appearance when viewed on a tablet. I find it is actually more user-friendly for scrolling down than the version set on a blank page.
An added benefit is that I can set a collaborator for pages like this one which need update annually with new set of winners.
Rules update and new season's fixtures should by now be visible on the website. A new competitions page has been prepared.
A slight re-vamp of the website of our sister league, Billingshurst, has necessitated the removal of the page on the old Crawley league which disbanded at the end of the 1980's........this has now been transferred to the Horsham site and combined with "Crawley 4-Pin" under a bespoke "Crawley page".
As is always the case when 'juggling' is involved, the changes may take a while to come through, so please be patient !
Click on where is says TIMELINE at the top of the Horsham news page, making your selection from the three choices available: 1972-ON 1991-ON 2007-ON
Everyone who has ever won something nationally is in there somewhere, and I am constantly updating with extra photos. The third file provides links to each of the 30 Newsletters so far from Nigel Senior.
Okay, let's try one.......Ricky Dewdney in a final of an Open ? v v v Click on (3) 2011 wasn't it? There he is: runner-up in Bucks Open Nigel newsletter 16, click on that ....and read all about it !
Unfortunately my recent 'fix' on BBBL website didn't work with Firefox which has something built into it which makes it default to the other website if a main page listed on the menu is 'missing'. I have been troubleshooting this problem for the last couple of weeks and only just arrived at this conclusion.
I have been obliged to convert more of the Horsham files over to Google Cloud to allow further shuffling with the menu on both sites. The rest of the solution involves restoring links, deleting unused pages and renaming of buttons on one website, and a massive renumbering of pages on the other.
This all takes time, and I would ask you to bear with me if the Horsham and Billingshurst websites seem to be behaving strangely for a while.
Hope to have it all done and dusted by the end of the weekend.
Failing that you use a temp solution of putting a automatic redirect with a few lines of HTML on the incorrect page you are being sent to.

I am hoping to implement a fix of a more permanent nature, and when done it will also remove some of the rather laborious procedure I have to go through when making simple updates.
Eventually 95% of my 150 or so webpages will be held in Google Cloud, and I will then be able to transfer the mainframes over to EasySite Wizard ProPlus which is what my provider asked me to do a year ago but on which I dug my heels in ! (The wizard I used to design the three sites on, Easysite Wizard 6 no longer being supported by them so I am completely out on my own.......)
I will certainly try clearing the cache in Firefox as you have recommended.
After much wailing and gnashing of teeth - over what is probably the last 3 weeks - the latest fix seems to have worked......with everything still crossed (arms legs fingers toes) HDBBL website seeming to work on both Google Chrome and Firefox, finally.
Now just have to bring Billingshurst back and touch wood that too will be okay tomorrow.
I have recently acquired a book which contains a complete record of the Sussex Ladies Interleague from its inauguration in 1972/73 through to 1977/78. Also for the two seasons 1980/81 and 1981/82.
The source is entirely reliable, being donated by the Ladies Interleague Secretary at the time (the Ladies ran their own show in those days).
I will, over the course of the next week, be adding the relevant parts of this new information to the Horsham, Billingshurst and Mid-Sussex websites - and to the Crawley pages hosted by Horsham. When I am done I will release the book to Sussex Website Admin for eventual completion of the full picture.
For information, Ladies Interleague started off as a Home/Away competition and switched to a One-Dayer in 1982/83 - which it has remained ever since.
All scorecards now added (86 of 'em, plus 14 for Crawley !)
Shame about the two 'missing' years of 1978/79 and 1979/80: if anyone has any old records knocking about and can throw some light on these, please come forward !
Many thanks to the "two Lins" for providing the information.
*Announcement* This website was created in 2009 using a design wizard which has been rendered obsolete and is no longer supported, meaning that for the last two years no new pages could be added. Now, w.e.f. Sept 2015, updating of existing pages has become increasingly difficult - other than those which I have linked separately via Google. Whilst the option still exists for me to go for a complete re-design, I am far from impressed with the new design tool which is on offer and do not wish to land you all with what I see as an inferior product - for as long as I can help it. In view of this, for the first half of the season the current league table will be displayed along with Ian’s weekly match reports on the main "News" page. All other pages of the website will remain static. The changeover to the new version of the website will occur some time over Christmas. - Clive Thompson, website administrator.
Tommo is further pleased to announce that a new Horsham website has now replaced the old, whilst retaining as much of the old format as was allowed.
I have a slight problem with the Index page which is supposed to display two nice photos but these seem to have been blocked. Also the "About Us" page and "Hall of Fame" need a bit more work on the layout but that can come later.
The important thing is that no data seems to have vanished into the ether during the transfer. And I now have a website with a cut and paste facility which luxury had been removed back on 1st July this year !
Let me know what you think, and if there is any way in which you think it can be improved.

The www. (official) version of the site will be removed whilst I work on improvements. Meanwhile you will still be able to access the site using link given in previous post.
Starting on Monday 28th I spent a 12-hour day designing Mid Sussex, 8 hours on Billingshurst and a total of 16 hours on Horsham which needed a complete rebuild after I decided to bin the first attempt.
Still not happy with the end product, so for the sake of simplicity will start again with yet another wizard template (the BT suggested fix for the half-invisible menu being no good to either man or beast). The second Horsham will therefore be going in the bin and I will attempt Issue 3 tomorrow.

Design complete on the second new HDBBL website, but have to clear out the old one first: This will happen this afternoon, but only after I've returned from taking Duke out for his walkies !
