Geoff Powell 1-2 Mark Trafford
I went off with about 5k in the first, Geoff got them back but only got a couple of k, i got another 4k which was enough to win the first game.
Geoff then went off with 11k in his break.
I went off with just over 9k which was enough in the decider,

Oxford had this type of format for singles before they changed to neutral tables, the only difference was that the away player had the opening breaks in games 2 & 3 and not 1 & 3. I always thought this was a bit unfair on the home player, as the away player can play safe with a 10,000 brk in both his break games giving the home player no chance to win, but I suppose that's how it can be in all league games if you're against the break and your opponent goes in with enough. In other words it's luck of the draw. .......now waiting for Tony to tell me to keep my nose out of other league's business!! Keith ::) ;D

Well done Mark and many congrats on a good win against Geoffrey. Been away so it's the first time I have a chance to reply ;)
The other semi-finalists are; Jenny Parsons who beat Colin Winstone 2-0 on the Plough Thomas Ellis-Rees who beat Jon Bamsey 2-1 on the Red Lion :o Pete Soanes who beat Kevin Bull 2-1 on the Plough
Exceptional win for Tom who, with the game at 1-1, went off with 8k in 12 minutes in the last to not leave JB enough time.
Finals with be (hopefully) Tuesday 28th September once I've checked that all four semi-finalists are free, at a venue to be thought about!!
cheers Tony

Thank you Tony. to have won my first Witney summer singles title! Indeed, nobody really got to grips with the table. As soon as someone started looking comfortable, they missed! Thank you also for all your hard work throughout the season and am looking forward to next summer alreaady :D
