has been updated with last night's matches. 8-)
Pete Edwards' walkover broke the database :o so I've entered it as a 10-0 win and put it on the list of things for the webmaster to fix on his return.
Also Ron Sheridan's score was entered as 2014. I changed it to 2010, but if that's wrong please tell me.
There are some broken links on the site that the webmaster knows about, but if anybody notices anything peculiar about the recent update, please would they post here. Almost certainly I won't be able to do anything about them, but never mind.
Thanks Jan

Thanks for the update Jan. 8-)
I have to say that the new system for reporting the results looks fantastic and I am sure that once the teething problems have been overcome it will mean that the results will appear much quicker on the Website and will save a lot of time and effort for both the teams.... and the webmaster. ;)
A big well done to Ric and thanks (I am sure from us all) for all of his hard work in setting it up. 8-)

Just spotted there has been a slight amendment to the League Cup rules re order of play in the second leg of the doubles. Its up under the news section, along with a link to the full copy of the rules. www.lewesbarbilliards.org.uk

Hi Ron, you are not the only one as I know that Kev Stoner had a similar problem. ::) I suggest that you email the result to Ric (you can do that through the contact details on the Lewes Website) and let him know that you are having a problem logging in. I'm sure that it will only prove to be a temporary glitch as the new system is superb. 8-)

Just thought I would report back, I managed to login succesfully. I downloaded and installed Mozilla FireFox and submitted the results through the FireFox browser, everything worked ok in FireFox. ;D ;D
Can't figure out why internet explorer is blocking it. Tried adjusting the security settings but no luck. :-/ If I figure it out I will report back....

looks like there's something wrong with the Lewes web site I'm on the case. A server upgrade seems to have caused a few hiccups. If you're having trouble connecting, use [ this link].

Hi Tengu,
Great website, years of back history, well I know how much effort goes into all the research and collation involved. A quick trawl-through has provided me with some past names of Lewes Ladies Interleague players from 1980-onwards so thanks.
Anyway, a couple of queries I am able to resolve for you on Champion teams with a question mark against them:
1979/80 Royal Oak........this would be the one at Jacobs Post/Ditchling Common and not the one at Newick: The same team comprising Reg Beard and the Spicer brothers also won Mid Sussex a year later.
1987/88 (and thereafter) Red Lion.......this would be the one at Lindfield (60 High Street) - the late (and great) Phil Knape's team.
Cheers, Clive

the stats from 2005-2006! just look at the changes over the last 10 years and who was top, also interesting to see the large turn around in names, it amazing how lewes league has evolved over such a short time.

Interesting for me is how Richard Wooton was an average player for the Kings Head until the turn of the century, then he transferred to the Black Horse and rocketed to superstardom !

Well I can't argue with that ! I still have an Acorn Electron up in the loft ! Does anyone from the 'original' Lewes remember C.Saunders and/or S.Bickers by the way ? They played Ladies Interleague for a few years from 1980 onwards and I am after Christian names for scorecard records.

Thanks Jan, Have added Carol to the relevant pages.
S.Bickers played in the first 6 matches of the 14-match 1980/81 season. It seems you took her place for the second half ! Teammates were Mandy Harris, Roz Rees, Audrey Wickens and Carol.

Cheers, Clive Thanks Clive, I was always dubious about that Royal Oak, although I'm fairly sure the one that won the wooden spoon in 1994 was the Newick one. Don't know why the Red Lion address was missing - even I remember that one. All fixed now, hopefully.
