Great new site Chris, but could we see any changes made on the calendar page in bold type. Then we can see that the dates have changed from the last time anyone looked at the page. Just a suggestion!

This year's results have gone on the site.
Spreadsheets are slow to load, so be patient.
Remember to hit 'Refresh' when you first see the top menu as Internet Exploder does not seem to spot that it may have changed.
Any feedback Welcome. Thanks to Nigel for the facts. Please make sure your friends are aware as we are not currently in a position to circulate hard copy.
The current format is not particularly printer friendly, but you can cut and paste into Word if you want to play with the results.
Will take note of Dave's Suggestion

Shed load of international stats supplied by Nige are going on the site over the next couple of days.
History and stats back to 2000 on there today.
Takes time as the Excel files are difficult to convert, so be patient

Ok Sav
You have 4 columns to the left of the list of players in the rankings. The column for 2005 nearest the players' names is scrunched up so tight that it reads 1Kevin Tunstall 3Keith Sheard etc (no gap) which does not look aesthetically good.
I have Windows XP both at home and at work and use Microsoft Internet Explorer - the very basic package - and the effect is the same for both. That's all really, no problem but you like to know of these things. Should imagine that I'm not alone. ;)

It is the same in Firefox and agree that the headings are too cramped (to the left of the player names) so if you could reduce the column width for player names and increase the 4 column widths to the left and maybe add a narrow 'blank' column before the player names it should be OK.
The cell entries are aligned right which is why the 2005 entries are cramped up to the names but the RA should stay so the numbers looks right.
It is the same for the Ladies Rankings

Its a difficult one,
The data comes from excel. Copy it to Word to manipulate the tables better. Cut 'n paste to html and attempt to reformat.
This gives horribly verbose files of about 350k - too slow to load on dial-up and too wasteful on space on my hosting.
Use Microshyte HTML filter to strip the unecessary tags, this reduces the file to about 50k, but takes away all the formatting and borders. Have to rename all the files as the filter only recognises htm files and not shtml (for included content) and rename them back.
Yet to find a happy medium. Have put padding in the tables which increases the size a little, but does not give borders to the matches.
Rest of international history on there.
Chris.

Great work !
Really interesting being able to look back at Inter-Counties from 1991 onwards and see famous names past and present.
Who would have heard of the players from S.Yorks, Wilts, Somerset and Leics without this ? They deserve their part of history.
I also notice that the columns for the current ranking list have been adjusted to suit - it now looks to be the real McCoy. ;)

I have a thought for a novelty addition to the AEBBA website.
What might be interesting is a map of the English Counties, and with the Channel Islands included below as an "inset", showing regions where our noble game is played.
It would have to be a Counties map, and have little areas shaded in in red or pink to show where the hotbeds of bab billiards activity - their domestic leagues - are. You could then click on these and the name of the local league would show up.
For example, Kent would have three "hotbeds"; Sussex would have most of the county shaded in (except for Crawley :( >:( ) and both Hampshire and Bucks would show solitary hotbeds in the extreme south of their respective counties, whilst Surrey would only have its bottom right-hand corner highlighted.
A nice little challenge for somebody, and shouldn't be beyond the capability of some of the whizzkids on our great Forum !

Interesting thought and not difficult, could contain contact info of league & county sex secs as well. I'll have a think about that, good idea, I have sinilar on another of my sites. Sav

AEBBA site now has the Ladies Intercounties history added to it.
Martin & I are also working on the map idea, but I've been snowed under the last few weeks, due to having to work full time keeping the village Post Office going, my help is back on line now though.

Wow, sorry I didn't spot your earlier response to my suggestion of the map. Will be duly impressed if you and Martin are able to make it happen.
Sorry for disregarding Maidstone, they should be given help and encouragement to keep going. Once a league's lost it's lost forever.
