It's been documented elsewhere, but we're working on a map of every known bar billiards venue in the UK. And these are the ones which we think apply to the Worthing League:
List is now in a separate thread

Thank you Dave, I've actually covered them under the West Sus/Littlehampton here, but have given a definitive Wothing list for you to kindly check on the separate Worthing thread.
Have made a note of the Worthing Dolphin.

Hi Tommo, I think you'll find that The Star in Steyning no longer has a table. Reg

Thanks, Regg3y,
I actually asked Paul Goodwin (Greyhound) about that one a few weeks ago as he lives in Steyning, he wasn't entirely sure but thought it to be the case.

I realise we are a little way out but thought I would mention that the White Hart ( formerly Cob and Pen) Littlehampton now has a table.
Hope to see you all soon.

Table now in the Dolphin Worthing Thanks TJ, That one's already on our map as a non-league venue, but it's nice to know that it's still applicable. 8-)

Can't find a "Bar One" Tony - all I can find opposite the Bingo Hall that may fit the description is this wine bar:
BAR NEXTDOOR, 21 ROWLANDS ROAD, WORTHING BN11 3JJ
Would that be it ?

Steady Richard, You're starting to venture onto 'hallowed turf' now. ;D ;D ;) What's the Marine View like? I wandered past it on the way to my hotel. May check it out next time I'm down Worthing way for a tourney.

Would recommend the Cellar Bar (about 3 minutes walk east along the front from the Marine View). You can get a good pint in there for a decent value. Don't get me wrong, nought wrong with the Marine View but you can't get a pint of proper beer if thats what you are after.

Hi SquireRichard,
With all this praticising you should really be getting 1000+ a game by now, and setting yourself 2000 as a target especially on a known match play table.
H for instance gets angry with himself if he fails to score 7000+ any time.
Not that I'm suggesting that you should grow a ponytail, join a heavy metal band and develop a fondness for real ale and amphibians ! ;D ;D

I may change the rules and remove the pegs/mushrooms in the games though, that should help me ;) Either that or buy a table, there's a nice spot just begging for a table in our living room. I had some good (by my standard) breaks on the Worthing table and then went and stupidly wiped out :-[ Not sure where our next little roadtrip will be to. May try and get to that pub in Cublington, Bucks. Got trips to Hastings lined-up and I'm sure we'll get a few games in. Some of the other minigolfers on the tour want to give Bar Billiards a go too.

Perhaps Tommo could update the list above? I assume the New Sussex is still a Brighton venue anyone? Tony

While in Worthing for the BMGA British Masters Minigolf Tournament a couple of weekends ago me, my wife and our friend John headed to the Marine View Hotel Bar for some games of Bar Billiards. What a great venue and very good table. You can really tell the difference between competition tables and those just for fun. I managed some 1000+ games and only messed up with one silly wipe-out. Would love to play the game more often and on good tables. It's certainly an addictive sport :-) We've got a Minigolfer's Bar Billiards Tournament & Pub Crawl lined-up soon. Some players playing for the first time, others coming along that played in their youth and others like me who've played in the last year or so. Should be great fun. Here's a blog about our visit to the Marine View Guest House hamandeggerfiles.blogspot.co.uk/2013/04/bar-billiards-at-marine-view-hotel-in.html

Seeing as you are called the Ham and Eggers, perhaps next time you visit worthing you should try the Smugglers Return in East Worthing, which have a very good table, and the co-incidental thing about the pub is it used to be called THE HAM. Worth a visit, it used to be my home table many years ago!
