Brewers Bravos v Mill House Z Will the table be as good as it was on our last visit? What do you mean, it's now a fifty pence table? ;D ;D Either way, I'm predicting all games will go with the break. SuperG, BarryT and Bravo being the top performers of the night. Watermill B v Plough Lower Beeding This will be close but I reckon the home team will scramble a 3-2. St Francis v Greyhound Hopefully TSO will have returned to health: If he has, he should be able to inspire his troops to a close victory. Eight Bells v Watermill A Intriguing fixture, Watermill will throw everything at this, but home team will still prevail 3-2. Plough Plumpton v Brewers Arms Arms are on a roll, but the Plough have shown some awesome home form recently. 3-2 to Plough, Jock and Del winning well for the away side. Laughing Fish v Hurst A Mouthwatering prospect of Boball having to play H. But who would win? Only one way to find out........I think the Fish willbe trying hard and will just prevail. Horns Lodge v United Services Club USC have struggled recently, but could succeed where the Zeds failed and scamble a 3-2 thanks to Sparky, Terry the Gass and Andy Guy. Hurst B v Woolpack 4-1 to the home side. The Giff, Colleen and King Steve to continue their run of good form.

Here we go again..... ;D Brewers Bravos v Mill House Z The Zeds machine rolls on with another win here, Adam takes a win for the home side but Tommo, SuperG and Alan take the points back to Crawley.
Watermill B v Plough Lower Beeding Two teams desperately looking for a win, Gavin the Landlord and The Flying Dutchman give the home team some hope but Geoff, Mark and Steve make the journey home a happy one for the visitors.
St Francis v Greyhound The visiting 'hounds won't be used to a table as good as this (I never thought I would say those words about the Saints top! :o) but will still take a close win here, Matt and TSO win for the home team, Trevor, Peter B and Geoff for the visitors.
Eight Bells v Watermill A Home advantage from the twin Swan menaces will prove decisive here, Doug, Nick and Ros all win with Norm and Chris taking the wins for the A Team. Plough Plumpton v Brewers Arms Another close game to call, AFW and Jock should win for the visitors and Darren and Dave K for the home side..... but Dilly will make the difference and will give the visitors the win and hit the top score of the night.
Laughing Fish v Hurst A H will be hoping to be drawn against the break in this game as it will give the Fish a better chance of winning the match..... but on paper the visiting Hurst team have more strength in depth than the Fish, so a 3-2 away win is my tip. H and Andy for the home side, Bobhall, Pete E and Mama Hall for the visitors.
Horns Lodge v United Services Club A close and low scoring encounter here, which the home team will just win. Geoff W and Kevin are the home stars, Sparky and Mick Kirwan win for the visitors.
Hurst B v Woolpack Malc will be the only winner for the visitors here, King Steve, Darrell and Chris K among the winners for the home side.

No points for the result with the Bells being silenced..... n ot even a report yet to see if I get any bonus points! All together now..... you only chime when your winning! ::) ;D I think that's rather unnecessary. So I will be equally unnecessary - I think you meant "you only chime when you're winning" Very busy day at work, so only just had a chance to catch up with the scoring this week...... ::) So you're allowed to have a busy day at work, but I'm not? ???

With all of the results now in, time to add on a few special bonus points...... Ros decided to continue the banter from Week 17..... I might be pulling the tiger by his tail here.... :o but did this happen? ;) ......and was aided and abetted by Tommo.... The tigers tail has been pulled...... by one of his opponents that he is due to play tonight. :P ;D ;D Sounds like Tigger wants to have his tum-tum tickled. ;D ;D ..... not that Ros needed any help, she was doing pretty well on her own..... ;D Sounds like Tigger wants to have his tum-tum tickled. ;D ;D Are you suggesting that the Warrior is a pussycat, tommo? :o I think I'd better pass on the tummy tickles, though. I've already pulled the tiger's tail, so it's probably best not to upset the tigress too! ;) (Just to put everything into context, TJ and I will be playing Dave and Colleen in the Worthing mixed tonight) ..... although the Warrior did have the last laugh on that subject..... ;D :P ;D No tummy tickles tonight..... but Tigger is still purring after the game. ;D The tigress pulled us back to level in the (interestingly low scoring) first game with a well timed 900 break, with me snatching the victory thanks to the 170 points I scored with the last 4 balls.... the only points I had managed to keep in the first leg. ::) :-[ A 7.5k break in the second proved sufficient to take us through the second game..... 8-) .....and then went on to win the "Stupid Boy" award (for the second week running.... ::) :-[)..... Hurst B v Woolpack Malc will be the only winner for the visitors here, King Steve, Darren and Chris K among the winners for the home side. Darren again? So he got that transfer approved after all ? ;D ;D ;D ..... much to IanG's amusement..... ;D Fancy going for the hat trick BBW ;D MINUS 1 point to the Warrior for putting the wrong player in a team...... :'( Although IanG didn't enter at all this week.... Oh damm I missed it & the chance for some easy bonus points. was too busy on Tuesday & had a STUPID sales call & had to do food for match on Wednesday. .... so maybe we should give him the "SB" Award instead..... ;D ;D ;D However, perhaps we should be more concerned with what appears to be an increasing theme in Mid-Sussex..... :o :o Don't beat yourself up about it, Dave: Two self-flagellators in the league is more than enough. ;D ;D Fish 2 Hurst A 3 Of the 5 defeated 4 Beaten 1 lost. H to decide which have been beaten and which have lost. None will have scored as much as their respective opponents. Bob to be seen striding to the nearby woods to cut himself a good strong piece of Birch. And, talking of nudges, the only scores to come in are for the Eight Bells v Watermill A match, so maybe Ros needs a quick nudge with the crop ? ;D ;D ;D Ros clearly missed.... or ignored..... the last post by Tommo, but gets a bonus for correcting my English..... ;D I think that's rather unnecessary. So I will be equally unnecessary - I think you meant "you only chime when you're winning" Very busy day at work, so only just had a chance to catch up with the scoring this week...... ::) So you're allowed to have a busy day at work, but I'm not? ??? It is meant to be a "banter" thread Ros..... and I did add a smiley after my reminder..... no offence meant and I know that work always comes first - for all of us, even me. ;) Last, but by no means least.... Tommo clearly agreed with my thoughts...... A big well done to Darren on his new personal best.... also to Bobhall for his win over H at the Fish. I'm not sure that I would want to play H next week though..... I think he might be looking to make somebody pay..... ::) ;D ;D ;D .....as he conceded his singles game to him...... :o :'( Henry v tommo arranged for Thurs 3rd March at 6.45pm. 8-) Have had to concede this to Henry, tommo taken ill (painful tooth extraction 2 days ago and jaw now aching). Don't want to play with ice-pack strapped to side of face! Best to luck to Henry in the next round, and good luck in your other game tonight. tommo. MINUS one point to Tommo for "wussing out" of playing H...... surely you could have re-arranged it rather than concede...... but PLUS 2 points for still being on the Forum when I know who painful a tooth extraction is. :'( :'( PS. I heard that Henry lost again last night...... :o Which gives us the following special bonus points for this week.... Tommo - 5 mins 1 = 4 points Ros - 3 points BB Warrior - 2 minus 1 = 1 point IanG - 1 point SpecialOne - 1 point

Im seriously considering retiring. Its like ive never held a cue before at the moment... :S You wouldn't have enjoyed the Brewers last night, H: A new arcade machine has been installed right behind where you stand to play. :o :o Spud gave it a really hefty crack with the cue at one stage (not deliberate, but 'Rage Against The Machine' came to mind). Enough to break the rhythm, we might not have seen the usual 'dancing Henry' last night, but hopefully the landlord will have seen sense and moved the machine to a better location in time for the next League match. :-/

The only time I have ever tried to use the smilies it didn't work so I have not bothered since. As for H, I was persuaded to come back and play cricket. After a while I realised I was an embaresment in the field, and gave up for the last time. Would not like H to suffer the same fate. Best to go whilst you still have a bit of dignity left. By the way I beat Robbie on my table this season. Thevoiceofreason
