A great day and a fitting winner in many ways. How ironic that Gary took Rays place on Sunday and also that his only other open victory came against Ray ('97 Mermaid Open). Possibly also the lowest ranked open winner (at no 78) for some time (of course Gary has been a lot higher ranked in the past though)
Unlucky to Ian on losing his third final (and second final in a row).
Well done to Bill Kerr for his win over Tony Webster in the plate
Many thanks also to Jean & Alan for all their hard work on the day. It all ran extremely well and I know how much hard work was put on by them over the whole weekend

Congratulations Gary as The Winner and well done Iain as runner up,
also congrats to Bill for winning the Plate and well done to Tony.
Pity I had to miss what sounds like an entertaining event but hope to see you all at the Roffey Club, Horsham next year.

Well done to all those who took part yesterday and to Jean for the putting it all together bit. I have one problem though. Has anybody seen my coat? It's a short, sandy coloured raincoat. The really important thing is the bunch of keys in the front left pocket. If any of you have seen it or picked it up by mistake, I really would like the keys. i didn't realise you were gonna play the 'keys in the middle' game. i'd have joined in, on second thoughts, i'd have probably ended up with tony webster's van.....just as well i left early !! but sorry, i don't remember seeing your coat. :-/

Hope that by now Regg3y has been reunited with his coat and keys.
It is very unlikely that there was anyone there of a dishonest nature: I was fretting slightly - whilst scoring a double-legged game - over the fact that I had left my keycase on the corner of the bar. But when I returned it was still there.
It's easy to forget where you put your coat, I'm sure if it did happen to get left behind the club would keep it in a safe place for you.
