To put some meat around the bones.............
Qr-final results in the main competition - Dave Ingram (Sus) bt Chris Toner (Hants) Mark Brewster (Kent) bt Richard Wooton (Sus) Kevin Tunstall (Sus) bt Jim Millward (Sus) Geoff Jukes (Sur) bt Mark James (Sus)
In the Semi-Finals - Dave Ingram bt Mark Brewster; Kevin Tunstall bt Geoff Jukes.
Final - K.T. bt Dave Ingram.
Heartiest congratulations to Dave Ingram (aka BB Warrior) in achieving his first appearance in an Open final, after narrowly missing out in the Quarter-Finals in the Oxfordshire.
Well done also to Chris Toner who made it to the Quarter-final as well as taking the Ladies Highest Break along the way.
Also to Chris Newson who overcame a 5k deficit from the first leg to win the Plate from a gallant runner-up Peter Edwards from Sussex.
Steven Sheard was worthy winner of the Mens Highest Break with an early-round 20k-plus.
Finally, congratulations to Sir K.T. who managed to sustain an incredibly high standard of bar billiards throughout the day, on the broad spectrum of tables, some easy and some 'challenging'.
A big thank you to the organisers for a well-run day.
