Redhill League are pleased to announce that the 2nd Surrey Open will take place on Sunday 9th May 2010 at St Nicholas School Merstham: Entry form available to download from the AEBBA site or from this link: www.aebba.org.uk/Entry%20Forms/THE%20SURREY%20OPEN.pdf- Canteen-style food available throughout the day;
- Bar in hall;
- Parking for 60 to 70 vehicles.
Anticipated line-up of 96 players - enter early to avoid disappointment ! It is my intention to publish a list of entrants periodically on here (as/ when officially confirmed by Gary), but feel free to register your intentions on this thread, as the numbers fill up we will then perform a collation exercise to ensure that a) no-one's entry form has gone astray and b) nobody overlooked.

Hi,
Please could you accept my entry. Can I pay on day? Or money to be sent now?

Hi Gareth,
I would very much advise paying by normal means (in advance with a form) - as for any Open.
We have a restriction of 96 places, and say 'first come first served' on the form, which means that when there are only a few places left they would go to those who have paid ( - anyone who hasn't, having to take their chance on the reserve list).
I can however add you to the line-up now, pending receipt of payment.
Regards,
tommo.

Hi Richard,
Yes, you're added and can pay me at Pompey. I'm glad that you added the other comment, as it serves as a three-fold reminder.
1. For me to publicise our intended list of prizes. 2. To remind me to add Nigel's automatic entry as last year's winner (we hope he can accept). 3. To say yes, the losing semi-finalists most definitely get something. At the very least getting that far should reward you with the equivalent of return of your entry money - it happens in the chess world for instance, and always seems to have been the case with other 'Opens'. - Bournemouth please note !
Here is the list, which may subject to slight amendment, but will be near enough and will be publicised in advance in our programme.
In terms of total fund, we have pitched ourselves somewhere in the middle - not as generous as Sussex, but better than some of the other Opens.
PRIZES - SURREY OPEN - 2010
Main Competition
WINNER Championship Shield + Winners Trophy Cheque for £100 Free entry to next year's competition
RUNNER-UP Runners-up Statue/Cup + Trophy Cheque for £50
LOSING SEMI FINALISTS Trophy + Cheque for £25
LOSING QUARTER-FINALISTS Trophy + Cheque for £15
HIGHEST BREAK (OPEN) Trophy + Cheque for £20
HIGHEST BREAK BY A LADY Trophy + Cheque for £15
FURTHEST LADY PLAYER Trophy + Cheque for £15
FURTHEST SURREY PLAYER (*other than a Qr Final appearance) Trophy + Cheque for £15
Plate Competition
WINNER Winner's Plate + Trophy + Cheque for £20
RUNNER-UP Runner-up Cup + Trophy + Cheque for £10
LOSING PLATE SEMI-FINALISTS Trophy
