No writeup from anybody yet, so all I can do is fill you in with the lineup for the last 8 of the main competition:
Steven Sheard v Keith Sheard Kevin Hall v Tony Woolvin Curt Driver v Dave Ingram Gerry Fitzjohn v Kevin Tunstall
Tony Woolvin had the top break at this stage of 20k and looked in awesome form. Jim Greenstead earlier had one of 18k.
A noteworthy point was the last 16 game between Kevin Hall and Ian Moss which was tied. A timed four minute break by both players was ordered under the Rules, Kevin making a quickfire 4500 and Mossy whilst up with the pace breaking down halfway to the target.
All in all a good day and congratulations to the prizewinners whoever they were !

Quarter-Finals Steven Sheard beat Keith Sheard Kevin Hall lost to Tony Woolvin Curt Driver beat Dave Ingram Gerry Fitzjohn lost to Kevin Tunstall
Semi-Finals Steven beat Tony Curt lost to Kevin
Final.... and what a great game it was..... 8-) Kevin won the toss and Steven took first break scoring a terrific 17,930 and leaving just the last ball for Kevin to pot in the 100. Kevin then ran the table out for 19,530 to win by 1,700.
Congratulations to KT on his 2nd successive win in the Surrey Open..... again back-to-back with his win in Guernsey last weekend. 8-)

Plate Semi-Finals Roger beat Nigel Pauline lost to Gary
Plate Final Roger won the first game with the break 7,600 - 4,250, Gary replied with an opening break of 11,450 in the second game to secure the win.
Highest Breaks Mens - Tony Woolvin 20,050 Ladies - Jean Brackenridge 4,550
