I have just had a Whats App message saying the same thing that we have the option to buy the table or it will be removed. Also there may be a problem of finding enough room for it due to the new kitchen opening. Not sure where the table is now probably stuck in a dark room or a shed. Not sure what is going to happen at the Watermill unless we decide to try and find another home but there are hardly any pubs around with a Bar Billiard Table unless we can share a table somewhere.I believe Tarrat's want about £900 for it.

Hassocks B 3-2 Watermill Dom lost to Mark Chris beat Sabina Peter beat Craig Jack lost to Tony Barry beat Paul In , what could easily be a wooden spoon decider , the B’s scraped a narrow victory . 1. Mark top scored for the visiting team 2. Chris led from start to finish 3. Peter got his maiden win 4. Pegs were flying , with both players losing four figure breaks. Tony was on zero , with a minute to play , winning with only 460 points. 5. Paul struggled to get going , and I helped the B’s to complete the double over the visitors. The two fairly even strength teams , enjoyed a fun evening , of relatively low standard billiards. Nice food and plenty of laughs , with the first four games all close. Unfortunately , this is the level of BB which is being lost , as new players and teams , are often soon discouraged, as thrashings by strong established teams , can alienate and discourage the future of the game , despite everyone’s best intentions. Barry has raised a very good point although I cannot see a way of solving it.Barry has done a great job with his team but there is always going to be the problem of new or not so good experienced players dropping out after getting a hammering week after week.We have to go to the Windmill soon and nothing against their players who are a nice bunch and can only play the team that turns up.Would love to hear what others think.

news indeed I seemed to get drawn against Darrel and they were always enjoyable games and he will be greatly missed and the game has lost another stalwart.Condolences to his family and team mates.

The Watermill table (If it is staying ) was converted to the 2 pound coin but was free on match nights and on Fridays whether or not it stays that way is anyone's guess

Plough 4 Watermill 1
Chase 5660 Gavin 1330 Dave 1740 Tony 0 Jan 2540 Kim 2600 I think these are the correct scores apologies if not. Geoff 6600 Paul 910 Richard 1760 Sabina 220
This was a game we should have won as apart from games 1 and 4 which Chase and Geoff played really well we should have won the other three.Tony black pegged on a 2000 break which if kept would have won him the game and Sabina also black pegged when in front in a low scoring game against Richard.Although Kim could quite easily have lost his game as it was a last ball game and Kim potted it at his second try.

Have just been browsing through the web site and saw the results of previous Team Plate matches.I played for the Snipe in the 1980s and played some of the earlier rounds but due to a broken arm could not play in the final but thought I would have been listed. Some teams have six or seven players listed for their final when only five would have played. For some reason I do not remember a S.Styles and I thought Micky Taylor played in the final as he also played in earlier rounds.

Windmill 5 Watermill 0
Jim 12,200 Gavin 750 A break of 11,200 for Jim Graham 5960 Tony 1140 mick 11,780 Mark 1320 Mick had breaks of 7500 and 2000 Johnny 5730 Sabina 1050 Clive 10,950 Kim 1490
Very fast table but seemed very true and I think it will take a good team to beat them on their own table.Very enjoyable evening bar the result.
