A good idea Tommo! I was thinking of Ebay but saw that the few tables on there didn't sell very well.
I was hoping someone on the forum may know a pub or a keen player who was looking for a table, but will post on Ebay in next couple of weeks for sure.
Thanks again!
Linda

Amendment - it is a slate base, for some reason I thought it was wood.

Hi there, I'm Linda, I wrote a BBC Berkshire online article on Charlie Wheeler some years ago and ended up buying my own table! I bought it from a chap who ran the Pack Horse on the A4074, and told me it was a table from around the 1930s and that the cushions "were as straight as a gun barrel". After a few happy years of playing I now have a little son who is taking up all my time, and it's time to revert the billiards room into a dining room. This means I'm looking for a buyer for the table. It has a wood base rather than a slate one, so not as heavy. I transported it easily as the top part unbolts. It has a £1 coin mechanism. If you're interested then please drop me a line at lindaserck@yahoo.co.uk, and I can send you some more photos or you can arrange to have a look - I'm based in Emmer Green, Reading. Kind regards, Linda Attachments:

I wrote the article and took the pics! I ended up buying my own table after that, which I'm now looking to sell (have a newborn now). The post is in Club Class Lounge - Buy/Sell tables if anyone is interested.
